UPSC IES/ISS 2023 Exam Schedule Released, Check Important Dates Here

New Delhi, 23rd May 2022: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the timetable for the Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service (UPSC IES/ISS) exam 2022. The exam will be conducted from June 24th to 26th June and will run in two sessions. Session 1 will be conducted from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and the second session will run from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.ย 

The UPSC IES/ISS written exam will be of 3 hours duration. The written exam will be the first round, which carries a total weightage of 1000 marks.ย  The second round, which is the interview round, carries a total weightage of 200 marks.ย 

The Union Public Service Commission hopes to fill 53 positions through the UPSC IES/ISS recruitment drive. There are 24 openings in the Indian Economic Service (IES) and 29 vacancies in the Indian Statistical Service (ISS).

NOTE: The UPSC IES/ISS exam 2022 will be conducted only in the English medium language.ย

  • One descriptive paper for the Indian Economic Service (IES) – General Economics I, II & III and Indian Economics

NOTE: The maximum scores awarded in the General English and General Studies papers are 100, whereas the maximum marks awarded in the other papers are 200.
