National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur will release the official NIMCET syllabus for the candidates aspiring to secure admission in MCA programmes at the official website nimcet.in. The NIMCET question paper is divided into four sections –

NIMCET Syllabus 2022 – Highlights 

1. NIMCET is conducted by one of the NITs every year on a rotational basis.
2. NITs define the syllabus of NIMCET officially each year and publish it along with the information brochure. 
3. NIMCET is conducted in offline (pen & paper-based) mode.      
4. The exam pattern and syllabus will remain the same as previous years, even if NIT, Raipur decides to conduct NIMCET in online mode this year.
5. The duration of the NIMCET exam is 2 hours during which the candidates need to answer 120 multiple-choice questions.

NIMCET Syllabus – Detailed Overview

As stated above, the NIMCET syllabus is segregated into four sections. However, there is no sectional time limit in this exam. 

NIMCET Syllabus – Mathematics 

Mathematics is the most crucial section of the NIMCET question paper. Candidates who score either zero or negative marks in this section are disqualified for admission. Hence, this section needs special emphasis during preparation.

NIMCET Syllabus – Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning

The second most important section of the NIMCET question paper is Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning. Candidates need to answer a maximum of 40 questions in this section. The questions in this section will cover logical situations and questions based on the facts given in the passage. Hence, there is no topic-wise syllabus prescribed for this section.

English is considered an easy section in the NIMCET exam and candidates can score exceptionally well in this section just with a channelized preparation plan. The topics that need to be covered are:
