Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the short notification for the upcoming National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (1), 2021 on its official website- upsc.gov.in. The examination would pave the way for aspirants for recruitment into Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of NDA for 147th Course and 109th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC).
As per the short notification, the UPSC NDA NA 1 online application process will commence from December 30, 2020 on the official website- upsconline.nic.in. The deadline for filling the application form for the UPSC NDA NA 1 exam is January 19, 2021.
The UPSC NDA NA 1 exam 2021 is scheduled to be held on April 18, 2021. The detailed official notification which will feature all the relevant details such as eligibility criteria, syllabus, scheme of examination, centres of examination, and guidelines for application form, will be released on the official website of UPSC on December 30, 2020.

UPSC NDA NA 2021 – Eligibility Criteria
Aspiring candidates who seek to apply for the UPSC NDA NA 1 exam 2021 must satisfy the eligibility criteria before proceeding with the application form. The eligibility criteria is as follows –
Criteria for Army Wing of National Defence Academy – Candidate must have passed Class 12 of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a recognised State Education Board or a University.
Criteria for Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy – Candidate must have passed Class 12 of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as main subjects, conducted by a recognised State Education Board or a University. Candidates who are appearing for the Class 12 of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination for the academic session 2020-21, will also be considered eligible to apply for this entrance examination.
UPSC NDA NA 2021 – Age Limit
NDA 1 Exam: Candidates must have born not earlier than July 2, 2002, and not later than July 1, 2005
NDA 2 Exam: Candidates must have born not earlier than January 2, 2002, and not later than January 1, 2006

- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates/ Sons of JCOs/NCOs/ORs – No Fee
UPSC NDA NA 2021 – Selection Process
The selection for UPSC NDA NA 2021 will be done on the basis of merit obtained in the written test (900 marks) and in the SSB Interview/Personality Test (900 marks). The written test would feature 2 sections – Mathematics and General Ability Test. The Mathematics section will comprise 120 questions with a time duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes whereas the General Ability Test section will comprise 150 questions with the same time limit (of 2 hours and 30 minutes). The Mathematics section will be of total 300 marks and the General Ability Test will be of total 600 marks.
The SSB Interview (Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test) is the final round which candidates must pass to stay eligible for the selection. The jury of the SSB (Staff Selection Board) will conduct the interview in the sequence given below-
