The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a public notice regarding the ‘Date Clash of JEE (Main) May 2021 with Class 12 Board Examination – Reg.’ It had been noticed that the dates of the fourth session of JEE Main (i.e., 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 May 2021) are clashing with Class 12 examinations 2021 of CBSE and various state boards.
Solution offered by NTA regarding date clash of JEE Main with Class 12 board exam
In order to avoid any clash between the two examinations, the National Testing Agency will open the application form filling window of JEE (Main) May session from 3 May to 12 May 2021. While filling the online application form, the candidates appearing for Class 12 Board exam as well as JEE Main will be required to provide the following information:
- Class 12 Roll Number
- Name of Board
- Whether appearing for Board Examination on any of the dates i.e., 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th May 2021?
- Date of Class 12 Board Examination
All of the above information will help the NTA to ensure that there is no clash of candidate’s schedule of JEE Main with Class 12 Board Examination.
Previously, an NTA official had notified some media sources about the same, saying – “CBSE Board Class 12th students having exam on 24th May 2021 will not be given JEE Main 2021 slots on that day. We will collect the roll number of Class 12th CBSE Board Exam 2021 students from the CBSE by May. All the students appearing for Biology will be given exam sessions other than 24th May 2021.”

National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) -2021 for admission to Undergraduate Programs in NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions.
JEE (Main) – 2021 is being conducted in four distinct sessions in February, March, April and May. The JEE Main Session-1 (Februay-2021), Session-2 (March-2021), and Session-3 (April-2021) will be conducted from 23rd to 26th February 2021, 15th to 18th March 2021, and 27th to 30th April 2021 respectively. The JEE (Main) Session-4 will be conducted in May on 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, and 28th May 2021.
