TS EAMCET Exam Pattern– Dates, Marking Scheme, Topics, Question Papers

The TS EAMCET exam pattern comprises information on subjects to be prepared, mode of exam, type of questions, marks allotted to each question or section, etc. This exam is held for admission of eligible candidates in B.Tech, Pharm-D, B.V.Sc. & Animal Husbandry, B.Pharm, B.F.Sc., and B.Sc. courses. 

Eventhough COVID 19 pandemic affected the exam schedule of TS EAMCET 2020 (exam dates were shifted from July to September), no changes have been imposed on the exam pattern of TS EAMCET 2021.

TS EAMCET Exam Pattern – Engineering Syllabus and Weightage of Marks

TSCHE has released the TS EAMCET syllabus along with the official information/instruction booklet. Candidates can find both by visiting the official website (eamcet.tsche.ac.in). The syllabus of TS EAMCET for Engineering stream is divided into 3 sections. It comprises class 12th standard questions on Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

TS EAMCET Exam Pattern – Marking Scheme

TS EAMCET does not follow the negative marking system. In both Agricultural and Engineering papers, 4 options will be given for every question, out of which 1 will be correct.

TS EAMCET Exam Pattern – Minimum Qualifying Marks

The TS EAMCET qualifying marks are the minimum (requirement) marks that the candidates need to secure in the entrance examination to be considered qualified to participate in the further admission process. As per the TS EAMCET exam pattern, candidates need to obtain a minimum of 25% marks to qualify for the exam. This, after calculation, stands to be a total of 40 marks out of 160 marks.

TS EAMCET Exam Schedule 2021

According to the recent news, the TS EAMCET exam will take place in two shifts (Forenoon and Afternoon). The exam timing is applicable for both Engineering & Agriculture and Medical streams.

  • Entry in the exam hall will be strictly based on the candidate’s allotted time slot. Also, it is compulsory for the candidates to bring their TS EAMCET Admit Cards.
  • Candidates will be made aware of the TS EAMCET exam time slot through their registered e-mail ID or contact number (via SMS)

TS EAMCET Exam Pattern – Online Test Instructions

Candidates must follow the online test instructions and guidelines set by the TS EAMCET authority. The test instructions will help the candidates to attempt the computer-based exam without any hassles. Given below is a list of online test instructions set by the TS EAMCET panel:

  1. The candidate/s must report at the examination centre at least an hour before the allotted exam time
  2. Candidates arriving at the examination centre even 1 minute late than the allotted exam time will not be allowed to sit for the examination
  3. The candidate will have to go for biometrics routine before starting the exam (photograph and signature verification)
  4. The candidate/s must compulsorily bring the filled-in application form print out (not xeroxes/copies) and admit card. The Test Centre officials will verify both the hall ticket and application form before the exam starts
  5. Candidates must correctly fill in the login ID, as given on the TS EAMCET hall ticket, to log in to the examination test portal
  6. Candidates will be provided with the login password by the examination invigilator 10 minutes before the test starts
  7. Admit cards must be in good condition. Dismantled, disfigured or mutilated admit cards that compromise the details of the candidate will not be accepted
  8. Candidates will only be allowed to carry blue or black ballpoint pen, caste certificate (SC/ ST), TS EAMCET hall ticket and application form inside the examination hall
  9. Candidates will not be allowed to carry mathematical/log tables, electronic watches, calculator, pager and cell phone inside the examination hall

TS EAMCET Exam Pattern – FAQs

When will the TS EAMCET exam take place?

As per the new exam schedule, TS EAMCET exam 2021 for engineering stream will be conducted on 7th, 8th and 9th July 2021. Meanwhile, TS EAMCET exam for agriculture and medicine stream will be held on 5th and 6th July 2021.

What is the duration of TS EAMCET exam?

The total duration of TS EAMCET is 3 hours (180 minutes).

Is there negative marking in TS EAMCET?

No. As per the current TS EAMCET exam pattern 2021, there is no negative marking for unattempted questions or wrong answers.

Will I be allowed to sit for the TS EAMCET exam if I forget to bring my application form?

No. Both application form and admit card are compulsory for candidates to enter the exam venue and sit for the exam.

Are the three sections of TS EAMCET separately timed?

No. The total time duration for all 3 subjects is 3 hours or 180 minutes. There is no sectional time limit.

Can I switch between the sections in the TS EAMCET exam?

Yes. Candidates can select any of the question numbers or sections which they want to attempt first in TS EAMCET exam.
