Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura is the official competent authority that is responsible for the release of NEET Cutoff for Tripura MBBS and BDS seats under the State Quota. 85% of the seats in all the government medical and dental colleges of Tripura will be granted through the State Quota. It is crucial to know for the NEET aspirants that only the domicile holders of Tripura state can apply for admission under the State Quota seats. Candidates must secure eligible NEET state rank and corresponding scores to get the admission. DME will also be responsible for carrying out the process of counselling for the State Quota seats.
For the remaining 15% All India Quota seats in all the medical and dental colleges of Tripura, DGHS (Directorate General of Health Services) on behalf of MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) will release the cutoffs in the online mode. The DGHS will also be responsible for carrying out the process of counselling for the AIQ seats. NEET Cutoffs for Tripura MBBS 2020 are expected to be announced in the second half of October 2020 (tentatively).
Important Update– On 3rd July 2020, MHRD Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal announced that the NEET 2020 will be conducted on 13th September 2020, the exam was previously scheduled to be held on 26th July 2020.
NEET Cutoff for Tripura MBBS – State Quota (85% Seats)
DME, Tripura will prepare the final cutoffs for the State Quota seats after the completion of the 2nd round of counselling. The allotment of seats under the State Quota will be done on the basis of the state rank and NEET scores of the candidates. Candidates belonging to a state other than Tripura will not be considered eligible to apply for admission under the State Quota.
There are as many as 166 MBBS State Quota seats available in medical colleges of Tripura through NEET 2020. On the other hand, only 4 seats are up for grabs in the dental colleges under the NEET State Quota 2020. Tripura Medical College and Agartala Govt. Medical Colleges collectively hold the possession of more than 90% of the MBBS seats available under the State Quota.
NEET Cutoff for Tripura MBBS – All India Quota (15% Seats)
DGHS will release the NEET Cutoff for Tripura MBBS 2020 for the AIQ (All India Quota) seats. Candidates seeking admission in the medical and dental colleges of Tripura under the AIQ, must secure qualifying NEET AIR (All India Rank) and marks to be considered eligible for the admissions. Qualifying NEET candidates from all over the country can apply for admissions under the All Indian Quota. There are as many as 29 MBBS seats and only 1 BDS seat available in Tripura under the All India Quota.
