National Testing Agency (NTA) released the JEE Main 2021 admit card for the February session on 11th February 2021. All the aspirants who had successfully registered for the exam can now download the admit cards for the first session of JEE Main 2021 from https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/.
While the downloading process of JEE Main admit card 2021 is quite simple, there are still a number of factors that candidates fail to check after attaining this document. So, as a precautionary measure, Buddy4Study has highlighted 5 types of errors that candidates may find in their admit cards. These errors, when looked into promptly, can be resolved even a day before the JEE Main 2021 examination day.
1. Spelling Mistakes
Although rare, there have been times when candidates found out spelling mistakes in their names. As JEE Main admit card is an extremely important document that candidates require at the time of admission to an Engineering college, it is vital to check and see if the spelling of the candidate’s name is correct or not.
2. Unclear Image
Before allowing a candidate to enter the examination hall, not only do invigilators check the JEE Main hall tickets thoroughly but also cross-verify the image of the candidate present in the JEE Main admit card with the one present in the photo ID proof. In case the image in the downloaded admit card is hazy or partially pixelated or doesn’t resemble the photo in the ID proof, the candidate will not be allowed to sit for the exam.
3. Mistake in Test Centre Number
Every candidate who is selected for the JEE Main exam receives a test centre number (present in the JEE Main 2021 admit card). This test centre number serves as the code to the exam venue allotted to the candidates for the JEE Main exam. Although this detail seems trivial, it is an important one, and candidates must check if the test centre number specified in their admit cards is the same for Paper 1 and 2.
4. Error in Facilitation of Exam Provision
Apart from General, ST, ST and OBC aspirants, PwD or Physically Disabled candidates also participate in the JEE Main examination. Irrespective of all the physical challenges, many PwDcandidates have acquired seats in notable Engineering colleges. To encourage more PwD candidates to sit for the JEE Main 2021 examination, NTA offers them the provision of Scribes.
Now, if a candidate has a certain physical disability, it is mentioned in the JEE Main admit card in addition to the option of availing a Scribe. However, there were times when by mistake the column of PwD was either found blank or with the mention of a ‘NO’.
So aspiring candidates of JEE Main 2021 exam need to go through the admit cards thoroughly and check if their documents do not possess such types of errors. If they find such mistakes, they can immediately contact NTA via their helpline number.
