JEE Advanced Application Form
The application process for the JEE Advanced 2020 was previously scheduled to start from 1st May 2020. But amidst the Covid 19 Pandemic, the governing body of the exam, IIT Delhi, postponed the commencement of the application process. HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal recently announced that the JEE Advanced will be conducted on 27th September 2020. The revised dates for other events like availability of JEE Advanced application form and admit card were recently announced by the governing body of the exam. The JEE Advanced registration commences on 12th September 2020. The deadline for the registration is scheduled on 17th September 2020.
Candidates securing a rank amongst top 2,50,000 places in JEE Main 2020 will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2020. Applicants must also fulfill other basic eligibility criteria prescribed by the IIT Delhi to appear for the exam.

Important Update- HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal recently made an announcement regarding the relaxation in the eligibility criteria for the year 2020. He announced that the JEE Advanced qualifying candidates for the session 2020 will be granted admission irrespective of the marks obtained in 10+2. Previously, the minimum eligibility score for the students was 75% in boards (10+2) and they must secure a place in top 20 percentile of successful candidates in order to stay eligible for admission.

Before filling the JEE Advanced application form, candidates must satisfy all the eligibility criteria implemented by the governing body of the exam. Given below are the basic requirements for appearing in the JEE Advanced 2020.
1. Secure eligible rank in JEE Main – You must secure a rank amongst top 2,50,000 in Paper-1 (B.E/B.Tech) of the JEE Main 2020. This criteria also applies to applicants froJm different reserved categories.
2. Age limit – Aspiring candidates should have been born on or after October 1995 to be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced. This age limit is for the general category aspirants. A relaxation of 5 years is granted to the aspirants belonging to the SC, ST and PWD categories. These candidates should not have been born before the 1st October 1990.
3. Number of attempts– Any candidate irrespective of the category that he/she belongs to, can apply for JEE Advanced For maximum of two consecutive years.
4. Appearing year for the qualifying exam (class 12th or equivalent) – Aspiring candidates should have appeared for their qualifying exam in the academic session of 2019 or 2020 to stay eligible for appearing in the JEE Advanced. Applicants must have passed the exam with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as main subjects.
5. Minimum marks required in qualifying exam (class 12th or equivalent) – Candidates belonging to the general category must score a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in the qualifying exam (class 12th or equivalent) with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as main subjects. Aspiring candidates belonging to the SC and ST category must score a minimum aggregate of 65% to stay eligible for JEE Advanced.
6. Previously admitted in any IIT – Any candidate who has previously been enrolled in any IIT branch and has dropped out of the college, will not be eligible for appearing in the JEE Main. Also, candidates who have previously accepted a seat by reporting at the centre and then have withdrawn from the seat will not be considered eligible to appear for the examination.
The release of the JEE Advanced application forms will soon be notified by the governing body of the exam, IIT Delhi, on the official website of JEE Advanced – jeeadv.ac.in. For the Indian students,to qualify for the JEE Advanced exam, it is mandatory to qualify the JEE Main. However, foreign nationals may appear for the JEE Advanced without appearing for the JEE Main (if they satisfy the required qualification). Candidates must precisely fill all the relevant details in the registration forms and submit before the application form submission deadline. Partly filled forms will be immediately discarded by the exam authority.

You must keep the following documents ready at the time of filling the JEE Advanced application form. After completing the registration process, you must upload the required documents under the prescribed format and specifications.
Candidates belonging to the below given categories must submit the authorized and validated certificates-
1. GEN-EWS– The certificate should be issued on or after 1st April and it should be validated by the Government of India. It should be in consonance with the latest guidelines implemented by the Government of India.
2. OBC-NCL– The OBC-NCL certificate should be issued on or before the 1st April 2020, and it should adhere to the latest guidelines of the Government of India. You may visit the official website- ncbc.nic.in and precisely check the guidelines.
3. SC and ST– The caste certificate for SC and ST candidates should be validated by the Government of India.
4. Pwd candidates– The differently-abled candidates must upload a physically disabled certificate issued by the recognized medical authority.
5. Dyslexic candidates– Candidates belonging to this category must submit the FORM Dyslexic 1 and 2 certificate instead of Pwd certificate. The certificate must clearly mention that the aspirant has “Severe” Dyslexia.
6. Scribe services– Candidates must request a letter to the chairman of the concerned zonal coordinating IIT to stay eligible under the ‘Scribe services’ category.
7. DS(Defense Service) Category– Candidates belonging to this category must upload a FORM-DS certificate issued by the competent authority, in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi validated by the Ministry of Defense or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
8. Candidates who have completed Class 12th or equivalent from abroad– These candidates must upload their class 12th certificate validated by the Association of Indian Universities.
9. Foreign candidates– These candidates must submit their age proof or birth certificate. They must also submit class 12th passing certificates along with the identity proof (passport). Aspiring foreign candidates must precisely read the instructions on the official website of JEE Main and submit the required testimonials as well.
After submitting all the required documents, candidates must proceed to the payment of registration fee. The payment of registration fee for JEE Advanced can be done through online method(netbanking/credit card/debit card) as well as offline method (e-challan).
