JEE Advanced 2022 – The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has released details about the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) – Advanced 2022 which is scheduled for 28 August 2022. Applicants can now visit the main website of JEE Advanced to learn about the exam pattern, marking scheme, and other important information related to the exam. IIT- Bombay is conducting the entrance exam this year.

A total of 1.6 lakh students have reportedly applied for advanced engineering entrance – touted as one of the hardest undergraduate exams in the world and passing which is a prerequisite for admission to the 23 IITs across India. To be eligible to sit for JEE Advanced, the students first have to get top scores in JEE Main, which is an entrance test for admission to various undergraduate programs in engineering and architecture.

JEE Advanced 2022 – Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

In order to sit for the JEE Advanced 2022, a candidate must qualify the JEE Main exam with a rank under 2.5 lakh.

In the year 2021, of the nearly 9 lakh students who appeared for the JEE Mains, a total of 1,41,699 were finally able to sit for the JEE Advanced exam. Out of these, 41,862 students eventually qualified for a seat at IITs. However, only 16,296 were finally offered seats.
