The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) has extended the application deadline for the opt out option of ICMAI CMA exam 2020. Previously, the last to apply for opt-out was 7th November 2020 but now the deadline for applications has been extended a week further (till 15th November 2020). Also, the ICAI has decided to merge the ICMAI CMA 2020 final and intermediate exams which are scheduled to be held in December 2020. The exams will now be conducted in the online mode.
Further, candidates can choose from the available 3 options –
- Home-based online mode
- Centre-based online mode
- Opt-out
In order to choose any of the available options, candidates must update their details such as mobile number, registration number, date of birth and email ID (submitted in the application form). For the candidates who want to opt out of the exam, the paid fees will be carried forward for the next term. Also, the candidates who fail to choose any of the available 3 options for the exam, will stay eligible to appear for the “centre-based online mode” of the ICMAI CMA 2020 exam.
The governing body of the exam has made it clear that the candidates who opt for the “home-based online mode” for the ICMAI CMA 2020 exams must have adequate internet facilities and systems for the exam. It will be the sole responsibility of the students if any connection errors will occur during the exam. The passkey and the login credentials for the mock examination (for home-based online mode) will be provided on the registered email ID and the mobile number of the candidates. On the other hand, the candidates opting for the “centre-based online mode” for the exam must reach the examination centre at least half an hour before the exam. Details of the exam centre will be imprinted on the admit card.
