DU LLB Counselling and Seat Allotment
Delhi University will conduct the DU LLB counselling and seat allotment process in offline mode after the release of the cutoff scores. The DU LLB counselling takes place in different rounds (usually four) depending upon the number of seats available. Candidates have to choose the law centres in order of preference while registering for counselling on the official website (du.ac.in).
Candidates shortlisted as per the DU LLB cutoff have to report at the counselling venue to get their documents verified. Afterwards, they can proceed to pay the admission fee for LLB seat allotment at Delhi University.
Link between DU LLB Cutoff and Seat Intake Capacity
One of the major factors that lead to the determination of the DU LLB cutoff is the seats available in all the three DU law centres. A slight increase or decrease in the number of seats shifts the DU LLB cutoff upward or downward.
- An increase in the number of law seats will shift the DU LLB cutoff score downward. However, an increase in the number of applicants will neutralise the effect of the changes due to the increase in the number of seats
- A decrease in the number of seats will result in an increase in the cutoff marks.
- Even if the seat intake capacity remains the same, an increase might be witnessed due to increase in the number of candidates qualifying DU LLB
DU LLB Seat Intake Capacity Comparison
Participating Institutes | Seat Intake 2020 | Seat Intake 2019 |
Campus Law Centre (CLC) | 1107 | 974 |
Law Centre 1 (LC1) | 1106 | 974 |
Law Centre 2 (LC2) | 1107 | 974 |
Total | 3320 | 2922 |
Analysing the table above, candidates can expect a decrease in the DU LLB cut off in comparison with previous year only if the number of candidates remains the same.
