NEET Cutoff for Telangana
NEET Cutoff for Telangana 2020 is the last rank or score which the candidates must secure in NEET 2020 to be granted admissions in medical or dental colleges of Telangana. The admissions in medical and dental colleges of Telangana will be granted through 2 types of Quotas – State Quota and All India Quota (AIQ).
There are as many as 4890 MBBS and 1125 BDS seats available in the medical and dental colleges of Telangana respectively. As the NEET 2020 exam is rescheduled to be conducted on 13th September 2020, the date of release of cutoffs will also be extended subsequently. Although the official dates are not announced by the respective governing bodies (for State Quota seats and AIQ seats), it is expected that the cutoffs might be released in the 3rd week of October 2020.
Important Update- National Testing Agency conducted the NEET UG 2020 on 13th September 2020. More than 15.97 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Exam Analysts have rated the exam comparatively “easier” than the previous year. Surprisingly, Physics section proved to be comparatively easier than Chemistry and Biology. Candidates have also praised the exam conducting body for utmost safety measures taken throughout the day of the exam.
State Quota (85% seats)
Candidates who possess a domicile certificate of Telangana, and have secured an eligible state rank and score in NEET 2020 will be granted admissions under the State Quota seats. 85% of the medical and dental college seats in Telangana are secured under the State Quota. Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) is the official governing body which will be responsible for the release of NEET Cutoff for Telangana for the State Quota seats in medical and dental colleges of Telangana.
Eligible candidates must choose and lock their choices of preferred colleges during the 1st or 2nd round of state counselling. You cannot randomly apply for admission in colleges without filling the preferred choices. The cutoffs will be released separately for various categories such as General, SC, ST, OBC, PwD and EWS.
All India Quota (15% seats)
Eligible candidates from all over the country will be granted admissions under the 15% AIQ seats, provided they secure qualifying All India Rank and score mentioned in the NEET Cutoffs for Telangana. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be responsible for the release of NEET cutoff for Telangana for the AIQ seats in various medical and dental colleges of Telangana. The cutoffs will be released separately for various categories such as General, SC, ST, OBC, PwD and EWS.
