The syllabus of COMEDK 2020 is issued by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka. It is majorly based on the NCERT text books of class 11th and 12th. COMEDK has defined the official syllabus of UGET and Uni-GAUGE which is composed of different topics from 3 subjects only –  Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

COMEDK Syllabus – Important Highlights

Before delving deep into the detailed syllabus of COMEDK 2020, let’s check out the important highlights of the exam with the help of the points below:  

  1. Due to the nationwide COVID-19 outbreak, the examination schedule for COMEDK 2020 has been postponed by the authority.  COMEDK UGET 2020 will now be conducted on August 1st, 2020. 
  2. COMEDK will release the admit cards for the COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE 2020 at least a week prior to the exam.
  3. The COMEDK 2020 entrance examination is conducted online through a computer-based test (CBT) only.  
  4. The questions in the examination will be asked from the topics and subjects given below in this article, which are exactly in compliance with the class 11th and 12th CBSE syllabus.

COMEDK Syllabus – Examination Pattern

Knowing the structure and pattern of the entrance examination is also an inevitable step to prepare well for COMEDK 2020. Once candidates are aware of the COMEDK syllabus, they must also go through the examination pattern given below. 

Exam Pattern for COMEDK 2020

  1. Mode of examination: Computer-based Test (CBT)
  2. Language of examination: English
  3. Type of question: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  4. Total duration: 180 minutes (3Hrs)
  5. Marking Scheme: +1 for every correct response. There will be no negative marking.
  6. Maximum Marks: 180

COMEDK – Mock Test

The COMEDK authorities will provide an online mock test for aspirants. This mock test will be made available online on the official website of COMEDK UGET. The mock test will help the candidates understand the exam pattern closely. Candidates can attempt a maximum of six mock tests based on the exam pattern of COMEDK 2020. It is recommended for the candidates to take these mock tests and attain the required pace to register success in the exam.  

COMEDK Syllabus – FAQ

Q. Is the COMEDK 2020 syllabus the same as that of Class 11 and 12?

Yes, the COMEDK entrance examination syllabus is the same as the syllabus of class 11th and 12th, as defined by CBSE.

Q. Will COMEDK 2020 be conducted online, offline or through both the modes?

COMEDK 2020 is an online examination only. There will be no other mode available to take this exam.

Q. Is the syllabus for COMEDK 2020 and JEE Main the same?

Yes, the syllabus of both COMEDK 2020 and JEE Main is the same. However, the pattern of examination and difficulty level vary in both the entrance examinations.

Q. Will there be any negative marking in the COMEDK 2020 examination?

No, there will be no negative marking in the COMEDK 2020 entrance examination. Candidates will be given one mark for each correct response.

Q. What is the difference between the syllabus of COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE?

COMEDK conducts UGET and Uni-GAUGE on the “Same Day” during the “Same Session” and as “One Combined Exam”. Hence, the syllabus remains the same for both the exams.

Q. Why should I apply for both UGET and Uni-GAUGE when both are conducted as one combined exam?

Candidates who opt for both UGET and Uni-GAUGE will get the rank cards for both. The member institutions of COMEDK UGET and Uni-GAUGE are different. Applying for both allows candidates to become eligible for admission in more colleges.
