Bihar Board 10th Class Result – Division Classification

The minimum marks required to qualify the Bihar board 10th class result are 33 in each subject. In the subjects having the practical exam, a student needs to score at least 30% marks in theory and 40% marks in the practical exam to qualify the exam. Apart from this, a student must have a total of 150 marks in aggregate to pass the BSEB 10th examination. Further, the students passing Bihar board 10th class result 2020 will be categorized into three divisions as per the marks obtained by them.

  • 1st Division: Students obtaining at least 60% marks
  • 2nd Division: Students obtaining between 50%-60%
  • 3rd Division: Students obtaining marks between 150-250

Bihar Board 10th Class 2020 Result – Grace Marking

In case a student is slightly falling short of minimum passing marks in a maximum of two subjects, the board will credit grace marks to their existing score. Such students will be considered as passed by the board. The terms on which a student will be granted benefits of grace marks are:

  1. If a student fails by less than 8% in one subject, he/ she will be awarded a grace to pass the exam.
  2. In case they fail by less than 4% in each of the two subjects, they will be awarded grace marks by the board to pass the examination.
  3. Also, if a student secured 75% aggregate but failed in a subject with less than 10%, he/she will be allowed to pass with grace marks.

Bihar Board 10th Class Result – Awards for Top Rankers

The government of Bihar awards students from rank 1 to 10 to encourage and adore their talent. The awards given to the students as per their ranks are as follows:

  • Rank 1: Rs.1 lakh and a laptop, an e-book and stationery
  • Rank 2: Rs. 75,000 and a laptop, an e-book and stationery
  • Rank 3: Rs. 50,000 and a laptop, an e-book and stationery
  • Rank 4-10:  Rs. 10,000 and a laptop.

Bihar Board 10th Class Result – Re-evaluation Process

Students who are not satisfied with their Bihar Board results can ask for rechecking of their paper. This process is called the re-evaluation of the papers. The students, who are not pleased with their marks, can visit the official website by the last week of May 2020 for scrutiny of their papers. Following is the process to apply for scrutiny:

  1. Click on the scrutiny registration link.
  2. Now, enter roll code, roll number or Name.
  3. Click on apply to get the application form.
  4. Fill and submit the form.

Bihar Board 10th Class Result – Compartment

In the case of a student failing in maximum of two subjects, he/she can take the compartmental examination. The board will conduct compartmental exams by the third week of May 2020. Students can register for the compartment paper by paying the requisite fee. Results for the compartmental examination will be declared by the third week of May 2020.

Q. Will I get grace if I fail in one subject?

If your total aggregate percentage is 75% or more then you will get 10% grace marks to pass the exam. Or, you will be given grace of 8% in one subject if you have passed all the other subjects.
