CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 – Deadline to Submit Marks Online Extended till June 30 

New Delhi, 20 May 2021: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for schools to submit the Class 10 assessment marks to the board to June 30. Consequently, the result for Class 10 would be delayed and will now be declared in July 2021.

Earlier, the schools were directed by the board to submit the internal assessment marks (out of 20) of Class 10 students by June 11, 2021, while June 5 was the last date to submit marks (out of 80) on the basis of the marking scheme suggested by the CBSE. The portal for marks submission will be available from May 20, as was scheduled earlier.

CBSE Class 10 Board Exam 2021 Marks Assessment – Why is the deadline extended?

The decision to extend the deadline was taken after considering the current pandemic situation and associated lockdowns in many states of the country. The official notification of the CBSE board stated that keeping the safety of teachers in mind, the board has relaxed the schedule and extended the date till June 30 to tabulate and submit the marks as per the marking scheme released by the board on May 1,2021

CBSE Board Class 10 Exams 2021: Assessment Scheme

Due to the cancellation of the board exams for Class 10, the assessment of 80 marks (which was previously based on the final board exams) will be done by the schools on the basis of the marks scored by the student in various exams/tests conducted internally by the school during the academic year. The board has instructed the schools to keep the marks in accordance with the past performance of the school in Class 10 board exams. The CBSE will follow the below scheme for awarding the marks to the students-
