Age Limit
Applicants for the position of Probationary Officer at Bank of India must be between the ages of 20 and 29.

Educational Qualification
- A candidate for the position of Credit Officer in General Banking stream must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university or have an equivalent qualification.
- A candidate for the position of IT Officer in Specialist stream must possess:
- (a) A four-year Engineering/Technology degree in Computer Science/Computer Applications/Information Technology/Electronics/Electronics & Telecommunications/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Instrumentation
Or
- (b) A graduate degree in any discipline and post graduate degree in Electronics/ Electronics and Tele Communication/Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Instrumentation/Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications

- (c) A graduate degree in any discipline and must have passed Department of Electronics and Accreditation of Computer Classes (DOEACC) ‘B’ level exam
Selection Process
The selection procedure includes an online examination, a group discussion, and a personal interview.
- Online Examination
The candidates will be required to appear for the following tests:
- “English Language,” which will have 35 questions with a maximum score of 40. The test needs to be finished in 40 minutes.
- “Reasoning and Computer Aptitude” will have 45 questions with a maximum score of 60. The test will last 60 minutes.
- “General/Economy/Banking Awareness” will have 40 questions with a maximum score of 40. The test needs to be attempted in 35 minutes.
- “Data Analysis & Interpretation” will have 35 questions with a maximum score of 60. The exam has a time limit of 45 minutes.
- “English Descriptive paper (Letter Writing & Essay)” will have two questions with a maximum score of 25. The candidates will have 30 minutes to finish the test.
Note: One-fourth of the marks allotted to each question for which the candidate provided an incorrect answer will be deducted as a penalty.
- Interview
- All selected candidates will be interviewed in person by Bank of India. The total number of marks allotted for the interview will be 60.
- The minimum qualifying marks for General/Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates will be 40%, and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/(Person with Disability) PWD candidates.
- Group Discussion
- Candidates selected through an online test will participate in a group discussion at some selected centres. It will be worth 40 points in total.

Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF)
- After the candidates are finalised, they must pass a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course before being inducted or absorbed into the bank.
- The one-year PGDBF course costs INR 3,50,000 + GST. After five years of service as a regular employee with the Bank of India, the bank will reimburse the candidates for the total course fee.

Step 5) The screen will then display a PDF document. Candidates must hit the “CLICK” button in the document to start the registration process.
Step 6) A new page will appear on the screen, where candidates need to click on the link that reads “Click here for New Registration.”
Step 7) Candidates are now required to provide all the required information and documents to proceed further.
