AILET Counselling
National Law University (NLU), Delhi will conduct AILET counselling 2020 for admission to its B.A. LLB and LLM programmes. For admission in the PhD courses, candidates will be required to go through a separate selection process.
The B.A. LLB and LLM aspirants who qualify the AILET exam as per the cutoff are shortlisted for the counselling process. Candidates whose name appear in the merit list have to report at the AILET counselling venue in-person to secure their admissions. NLU Delhi will conduct AILET counselling 2020, which will be segregated into multiple offline rounds.
On the AILET counselling day, the officials from NLU Delhi will verify the documents of the candidates to mark them eligible for admission. The final admissions are confirmed after the qualifying candidates pay the admission fee (post the offline AILET counselling process). NLU Delhi may conduct AILET counselling in multiple rounds. The steps for each round of AILET counselling will remain the same.

PhD admission does not follow the conventional counselling process. A certain selection process in a defined chronology will be conducted for admissions to PhD programmes at NLU Delhi. The AILET selection process for PhD admission is as follows:

Candidates need to score a minimum of 50% marks in AILET as well as the Research Proposal to get admission in the PhD programme.

Note – Other than the above reservation policy, NLU Delhi will also have a horizontal reservation of 5% in each category for PwD candidates in all the courses. Also, only for the B.A. LL.B programme, female candidates too will have an entitlement to a horizontal reservation of 30%.
Consortium of NLUs conducts the counselling for all the NLUs except NLU Delhi on the basis of CLAT. On the other hand, only NLU Delhi will be responsible to conduct the counselling for admission on the basis of AILET 2020.
NLU Delhi will conduct the AILET counselling 2020 in offline mode. However, the officials will display the merit list and release the AILET counselling call letters in online mode only.
No. Unlike the B.A. LLB and LLM admission, the admission into PhD programme will require the candidates to follow certain selection criteria which will include a research proposal other than the All India Law Entrance Test.
NLU Delhi will refund 75% of the tuition fee in case a candidate is not able to join the course after the admission. NLU Delhi will utilise the non-refundable tuition fee for providing the financial assistance to deserving students who could not pay the tuition fee on account of their economically weak background.
NLU Delhi has not specified the number of rounds to be conducted during AILET counselling 2020. However, candidates will find a waitlist (if the seats remain vacant) along with the merit list. NLU Delhi will offer vacant seats to the candidates whose names appear in the waitlist.
