AILET Exam Dates – Final and Tentative Dates, Highlights

According to the latest official notification released by the National Law University (NLU), Delhi, AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) exam date has been rescheduled and it will take place on August 18 (from 11 AM to 12:30 PM). Earlier, the AILET exam was scheduled to be held on May 31 and was then subsequently postponed to August 9. The AILET application form submission date has also been extended up to August 7, 2020. NLU, Delhi will release the AILET admit card 2020 on its official website from July 27. 

Along with the rescheduling of exam dates, NLU, Delhi has also made crucial announcements which the AILET aspirants must know-

The major updates regarding AILET 2020 are mentioned below-

  • NLU, Delhi has handed over the responsibility of conducting  AILET 2020 to NTA (National Testing Agency).
  • NTA will conduct the exam in the newly introduced ‘ Remote Proctored Test’ Mode. Thus, candidates will now be able to appear for AILET 2020 from the comfort of their home, but the exam will be strictly invigilated by the exam authority.
  • NLU, Delhi has also notified that the 50% Delhi domicile based reservation will be scrapped along with 22% reservation for OBC candidates and 10% reservation for EWS candidates.
  • Due to the newly introduced regulations of AILET 2020, NLU Delhi has also enabled the option of application withdrawal for the candidates from July 1 to July 7th, 2020.

The rescheduled dates for other major exam-related events like AILET result declaration and further selection process are yet to be released. As soon as NLU, Delhi releases an official notification  regarding the exact schedule of further AILET events, we will update this page. Hence, candidates are advised to keep a vigil eye over further notifications regarding the AILET exam dates 2020 with the help of this article.

AILET Exam Dates – Highlights

Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the entire nation’s exam scenario is affected badly and so is the AILET 2020. In such a context, candidates need to be more attentive regarding the volatility in AILET exam dates 2020.  

AILET Exam Dates – Application Form Submission Process

NLU, Delhi released the AILET 2020 application form on its official website (nludelhi.ac.in) on January 15, 2020 along with the AILET official notification. Earlier, the last date for AILET application form submission was May 15, which is now extended up to July 7, 2020. Due to the newly introduced regulations of AILET 2020, NLU Delhi has also enabled the option of application withdrawal for the candidates from July 1 to July 7th, 2020. It is advised to fill all your details correctly in the AILET application form. Candidates will not be able to modify any of the details on their application form after submitting it, except their exam centre preferences.

AILET Exam Dates – Admit Card Release

NLU, Delhi shall make AILET admit card 2020 available on its official website from July 27, 2020. Candidates, who submit their application form successfully, can download the admit card till the exam date i.e. August 18 and take its printout. However, it is advised to download the AILET hall ticket as soon as it gets available on NLU’s website to reserve scope of error rectification (if it occurs). It is mandatory to carry admit card along with a valid photo ID proof (Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Passport/Election ID Card, etc.) to ensure a seamless entry at AILET exam centre.   

AILET Exam Date 2020

Initially, the AILET exam date 2020 was May 31, which was subsequently postponed to August 9. But amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the authority released an official notification and rescheduled the exam date once again. As per the latest notification, the AILET exam date 2020 is August 18, 2020. The exam shall be held in the morning shift from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates applying for UG, PG, and doctorate-level law programmes will be appearing for the AILET exam on the same date, i.e, August 18, 2020.       

AILET Exam Dates – Result Announcement

The AILET result 2020 will be released by the conducting body in three phases – for AILET UG, AILET LLM, and AILET PhD. NLU, Delhi is yet to release the schedule for AILET 2020 result declaration. The AILET result will be released on the official website of NLU, Delhi.

As per the latest information furnished by National Law University, Delhi, the AILET exam date 2020 is August 18. The exam shall be held in the morning shift from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.

✔️ What is the last date for AILET application form submission according to revised AILET exam dates 2020?

NLU, Delhi will accept the AILET application form 2020 up to July 7, 2020. Only the online mode for AILET application form submission is available at nludelhi.ac.in.

✔️ Is there any chance of NLU, Delhi revising the AILET exam dates 2020 yet again?

As per the latest notification, NLU, Delhi is determined to conduct AILET 2020 exam on August 18, 2020 but you cannot predict uncertainties. If the government declares a lockdown again, the AILET conducting body would have a compulsion to comply with the same.
