New Delhi, 20 September 2022, ONGC Recruitment 2023: The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has released an official notification for recruiting students through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023. The candidates will be appointed for the posts of Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Geophysicist, Materials Management Officer, Transport Officer, Geologist, and Chemist in domains like Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Mechanical Engineering, and others.
According to the notification released on the official website – ongcindia.com – the online application link will be available in April 2023. The recruitment board will shortlist candidates according to their GATE score card. The shortlisted candidates may be posted anywhere in India or abroad depending on the requirements of the organization.

ONGC Recruitment 2023 – Eligibility
- Candidates must be citizens of India.
- Candidates must have scored a minimum of 60% marks in undergraduate engineering programmes.
- Candidates who have passed professional exams such as AMIE (Electrical)/AMIE (Mechanical)/AMIE (Civil) can not apply for the ONGC recruitment drive.
- Candidates having an undergraduate degree from distance learning or part-time mode are eligible for the recruitment process.
- Students in the final year of the qualifying course of study are also eligible to apply through GATE 2023. However, their result is likely to be declared by 31 July 2023.

ONGC Recruitment 2023 – Selection Process
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on GATE 2023 scores and then a further round of personal interviews.
- After qualifying for the personal interview round, candidates will have to meet the required medical parameters as laid down by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC).
- The final selection will be done based on a merit list prepared by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) officials.
ONGC Recruitment 2023 – Salary
The basic salary of executive posts varies from INR 60,000 to INR 1,80,000 per month. Apart from the basic salary, the employees will get an allowance of 35% of the basic pay under:
