Ramesh Pokhriyal’s webinar extended – talks on JEE, NEET & board exams to be held on Dec 10

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal’s webinar with students, parents and teachers has now been rescheduled to December 10. This LIVE interaction was previously supposed to be held on December 3 (12 pm onwards) to discuss the various queries and concerns posed by students on the upcoming competitive and board examinations. However, the Ministry of Education decided to postpone the interaction to Dec 10 after receiving “a lot of questions” from the students. Pokhriyal, in a tweet, asked the students to keep sharing their concerns using #EducationMinisterGoesLive.

Ramesh Pokhriyal’s webinar extended

“Students, we know you have tons of questions related to upcoming competitive/board exams! In order to make sure that we cover most of your concerns, we have decided to extend the date of the webinar to Dec 10.”
Till then keep sharing your concerns using #EducationMinisterGoesLive!

Previously on November 26, the Education Minister has announced a LIVE session with students and parents on December 3 to discuss their concerns regarding the examination next year. Pokhriyal has already spoken about the challenges faced in conducting the exams amidst the COVID 19 pandemic. But he also mentioned that conducting the examinations is crucial for aspirants who are seeking admissions in the desired higher educational institutions.

Because of a massive surge in COVID-19 cases, several state governments have closed the schools yet again. Moreover, CBSE is yet to announce the schedule for the 2021 session (which generally is declared by the month of November every year). The government had previously hinted about a delay in the CBSE board exams by a month or two. However, no official confirmation by the Central Board of Secondary Education officials has been recorded yet. The JEE Main officials have also said recently that the JEE Main 2021 January session is likely to be shifted to February 2021.

Furthermore, owing to the disruption caused by COVID-19, CBSE and several school boards have reduced the syllabus for the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams in 2021.
