New Delhi, November 10, 2022: IIT Madras TIF Shaastra 2023 – The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Madras) has invited registrations for its flagship event Tech and Innovation Fair (TIF), Shashtra. In this fair, the participants will get a chance to showcase their scientific creations and innovations. 1. What is the IIT Madras TIF Shaastra?
A. Shaastra is the annual tech festival of the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), India. In the Sanskrit language โShaastraโ means Science and the fest has plenty of things happening like lectures by distinguished guests, demonstrations by industry professionals, interesting expositions and interactions with big names of the field. In 2023, IIT Madras TIF Shaastra will be held over four days and four nights. It is an event completely managed by students and is a ISO 9001:2015 certified event.
2. What are the selection stages of Shaastra?
A. There are three stages in Shaastra. These are: the initial shortlisting, mentoring and finale. In the first stage, participants need to submit a review of their creation in the form of a video or pictures and give short answers to questions elaborating the details. In the second phase, mentorship and webinars are conducted for the selected teams on how to develop a business model and improve their creation even more. The third stage consists of a series of workshops and a range of new opportunities to network with the right people, discover new things and enhance their knowledge.
