Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay released the GATE response sheet 2021 today, 18th February 2021. Candidates of Mechanical, EC, Electrical, Chemical, CS, IT, and other branches, who have appeared for the GATE exam on 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th February 2021, can now download their respective response sheets by logging into the web portal – www.gate.iitb.ac.in using their enrolment ID/email ID and password.
Candidates will be able to calculate their probable scores using the GATE 2021 response sheet and GATE answer key (to be released). According to sources, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2021 answer key is expected to be uploaded on the official COAP portal on 20th February 2021.

To download the GATE response sheet, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
1. Visit the official GOAPS Login portal – www.gate.iitb.ac.in
2. Click on the GATE Response Sheet link
3. When the page directs to the logging page, enter the registered credentials, i.e., enrolment ID or email ID and password
4. Click Submit
5. Download the response sheet for future reference

Steps to Calculate Scores using the GATE Response Sheet 2021 and Answer Key?
As already stated, candidates can calculate their probable scores using the GATE response sheet 2021 and answer key. All they need to do is refer to the official marking scheme and cross-check their marked responses with the correct answer to get their predictable scores.
Total marks obtained for correct attempts – Negative marks for incorrect attempts = GATE Score
MCQ Marks = Total marks (1 mark) + Total marks (2 marks)
Total marks (1 marks) = 1 x number of correct answers – 1/3 x number of wrong answers
Total marks (2 marks) = 2 x number of correct answers – 2/3 x number of wrong answers
NAT Marks = Total marks (1 marks) + Total marks (2 marks)
Final GATE 2021 Score = MCQ Marks + NAT Marks
How to Retrieve GATE Password?
In case a candidate forgets his or her GATE password, they can retrieve it by following the below steps:
1. Visit the GATE Login Page – www.gate.iitb.ac.in
2. Click on the option that indicates ‘Forgot Enrolment ID and Password’
3. Click on the option ‘Request for an OTP’
4. The page will be directed to a new page asking for the following details
5. After receiving the OTP on your mobile number or e-mail id, reset the password
GATE 2021
A total of 8,82,684 candidates have applied for the GATE exam. GATE 2021 was conducted across 616 centers and in around 200 cities of India. The exam was conducted in 2 shifts – forenoon and afternoon. As per the official update, the result of GATE 2021 shall be declared on 22nd March 2021. The final result of the online GATE exam will be announced at the GOAPS portal as a scorecard and will remain valid for 3 years.
The GATE 2021 examination had a total of 27 papers, which included two newly-introduced papers:
- Environmental Science and Engineering (ES)
- Humanities and Social Sciences (XH)
The IIT Bombay GATE entrance exam will allow admission to candidates in M. E, M. Tech, M. Arch, Ph.D. courses, which is offered by IITs. Furthermore, GATE qualified candidates also get a chance at PSU recruitments.

The overall attendance in all the GATE 2021 papers stood at 78%, which was similar to GATE 2020.
