New Delhi, 18 May 2022 – The Union Public Service Commission has released the official notifications for UPSC Combined Defence Services II (UPSC CDS II 2022) and UPSC National Defence Academy & Naval Academy II (UPSC NDA & NA II 2022) examinations. Candidates interested in applying for any one of these exams can apply at upsc.gov.in by June 7. Both of the exams will be conducted on 4 September 2022.
Note:
- A total of 339 vacancies will be filled through the UPSC CDS II exam.
- A total of 400 vacancies will be filled through the UPSC NDA & NA II exam.

UPSC CDS II and NDA & NA II – Official Notification Details
The UPSC official notification for CDS II and NDA & NA II exams outline several important details about the examination that candidates need to be aware of.
These include:
- Candidates can fill up their online applications by 7 June 2022, till 6 PM.
- Any submission after the prescribed deadline will not be entertained by UPSC.
- After the candidates fill up their online applications, they can withdraw it anytime between 14 May 2022 and 20 May 2022 (till 6.00 PM). After this, all applications will be considered final.
- All eligible candidates will be issued their e-admit cards 3 weeks before the commencement of the examination. These will be made available on UPSC website.
- Admit cards will not be sent by post in any case.
- All applicants have to provide valid email IDs while filling up the online application forms, as UPSC might use them for contacting the candidates.
- There will be negative marking for each wrong answer marked by a candidate. UPSC has not yet revealed the exact figures for negative marking though.
- Candidates must use black ball pens only while attempting the exams.
UPSC CDS II and NDA & NA II – How to Apply?
- Candidates must first visit the official application link – upsconline.nic.in/mainmenu2.php
- Then, they need to click on the exam link they wish to apply for.
- Afterwards, they need to click on Part 1 Registration.
- There, candidates need to fill in all the details carefully.
- After this, they need to click on Part 2 Registration and provide all the required details.
- Once registration is completed, candidates can fill up the online form and take a PDF printout for future reference.
