Council of Architecture (CoA) released the official notification of NATA 2020 along with an information brochure on February 01, 2020. Later, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CoA revised the schedule of various events of the National Aptitude Test in Architecture.
As per the updated notification, NATA registration process was reopened on July 25, 2020 from 10:30 AM onwards. The deadline to submit the application form and pay the application fee has also been extended to August 12, 2020 till 11.59 PM. Last date to upload images and take the final print outs of the application form submission confirmation page is also August 12.
Important Update: NATA 2020 exam is held twice a year (July & December) for the candidates who are unable to appear for the first phase of the exam or wish to improve their NATA score in the second phase of exam. This year, the Phase I exam has already been delayed. Hence, NATA exam dates 2020 for the second phase are yet to be announced by CoA.
NATA 2020 exam will take place on August 29, 2020 in two shifts. The authority will issue the admit card on August 22, 2020 and the test takers can download the same till the examination date.
NATA exam is held in two shifts –
- Shift 1 – 10:00 AM to 12 Noon
- Shift 2 – 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
This year, Part B shall be followed by Part A after an intermission of 3 minutes (in both the shifts). NATA Exam Dates – Application Form Submission
NATA 2020 application form was released on February 01, 2020 and the deadline to submit the same online was April 15, 2020. Afterwards, CoA reopened the registration process for NATA from July 25, 2020. The deadline set by the authority for application submission along with fee payment is August 12, 2020 till 11:59 PM.
Candidates must follow the instructions of the authority while filling NATA application form online. It is mandatory for the registrants to take print out of the confirmation page which is available till August 12, 2020 (11:59 PM).
The conducting authority also facilitates the candidate with an application correction window that is available from July 25, 2020 (from 10:30 AM) to August 12, 2020 (till 11:59 PM). Note that this is the only opportunity given to the candidates to edit the application form after submission.

NATA Exam Dates – Admit Card Issuance
NATA admit card will be issued by the authority on August 22, 2020 and the test takers can access the same till August 29, 2020 i.e. the examination date. Candidates must carefully read their details given in the admit card, like name, date of birth, roll number, application number, exam centre, exam date, time and instructions. Any error or discrepancy in the admit card must be dealt on priority.
Only those applicants can appear for the exam who produce the NATA admit card, one valid photo ID proof and two latest photographs on the day of the exam.

NATA Exam Dates 2020
As per the revised notification by CoA, the first phase of NATA 2020 exam will take place on August 29, 2020. The authority will soon announce NATA exam dates for the second phase. The exam paper consists of two parts –
- Part A: Cognitive Skill Test (Drawing and Visual Composition) – Conducted in 72 minutes
- Part B: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General Aptitude – Conducted in 45 minutes
In both the shifts, Part B will be followed by Part A –
NATA Shift I – 10:00 AM to 12 Noon
NATA Shift II – 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
Candidates have the choice to appear for the exam from their place of stay/residence or allotted test centres. Proctors shall be appointed for the test takers who prefer to appear for the exam from their residence and they will have to abide by the prescribed instructions.
NATA Exam Dates – Result Declaration
The Council will declare NATA result on September 03, 2020. Candidates can check their result on the official web portal of NATA (nata.in). NATA result will specify the detailed information related to sectional and overall marks in the exam. Moreover, candidates’ qualifying status (pass/fail) is mentioned in NATA result. Candidates must take the print out of their marks sheet and retain the same until the admission process gets over.
Note – NATA result, once declared officially, cannot be altered or scrutinized on candidates’ requests.
