The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the dates for the UPPSC PCS Main exam 2022 on the official website- uppsc.up.nic.in. The UPPSC PCS Preliminary exam 2022 was held on June 12th. All the candidates who have qualified the Prelims examination are now eligible to appear for the UPPSC PCS Main 2022 from September 27th, 2022 onwards. Candidates must note that the Main PCS (Provincial Civil Service) exam of Uttar Pradesh shall be conducted in two shifts of three hours each.

UPPSC PCS Main 2022 – Exam Pattern
Only candidates who passed the PCS and ACF/RFO Preliminary tests are eligible to take the UPPSC PCS Main 2022 exam. The final selection of the candidates for the post of PCS Officer will take into account the candidates’ performance in the Main exam.
Please note:
- There will be no negative marking in the UPPSC PCS Main exam.
- The UPPSC PCS Main 2022 exam is a merit-based exam round due to the weightage of a 1500-mark format. Time duration for each paper will be three hours.
Please note: According to the new UPPSC PCS 2022 exam pattern, candidates are only required to choose one optional subject from the provided list that will be of 200 marks. The qualifying percentage for the preliminary examination, Paper II, will be 33%.

UPPSC PCS Main 2022 – Selection Process
The UPPSC PCS 2022 selection procedure consists of three stages. To advance to the next exam level, the candidate must pass each stage.
a) UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam – Stage I – The UPPCS Prelims exam is an offline objective test that is conducted throughout the state. It comprises 400 marks in total. General Studies 1 consists of 150 questions and General Studies 2 consists of 200 questions in total.
b) UPPSC PCS Main Exam – Stage 2 – The UPPSC PCS main exam is an essay type test that is conducted offline throughout the states. According to the performance in the UPPCS main exam, the candidates are ranked in a merit list and are eligible for the interview round.
c) Interview Round – The UPPSC PCS interview is the final phase of the test, and because there are so few applicants, there is a significant possibility that the candidate will be chosen in the interview.
UPPSC PCS 2022 – Pay Scale
UPPSC PCS wage for junior scale goes from Rs. 38,000 to Rs. 44,000 per month. The senior scale wage varies from Rs. 55,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month. PCS Officers are entitled to a number of benefits, including medical care, travel expenses, and dearness allowance.
