REET 2022 On July 23, 24; Registration To Begin On April 18

New Delhi, 12 April 2022: As per the recent notice issued by the Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan (BSER), the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers 2022 (REET 2022) will be conducted on July 23 and 24, respectively.  The registration for the same will commence April 18 onwards and will end on May 18, 2022.

REET 2022 Exam – Highlights

  • On February 7, the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot declared the cancellation of the level-2 examination of REET 2021 due to  accusations of large scale irregularities. He further announced that the REET exam will be reconducted for 62,000 vacancies instead of the already existing 32,000 vacancies.
  • This time, no application fee will be charged from old candidates for the REET 2022 exam.
  • According to the Secretary of BSER, Meghna Choudhary, the dates for REET 2022 can be extended further until the board finds reliable examination centres. 
  • To qualify, candidates belonging from general category must secure a score of at least 60% whereas candidates belonging from SC, ST categories require at least 36% marks.
  • While there seems to be no upper age limit prescribed by the board, a candidate must be at least be 18-years-old to appear for the exam.

REET 2022 Exam – Validity

On 13 March, Rajasthan CM announced on twitter that the REET examination certificate will now offer lifelong validity. Previously, the REET certificate was valid for a total of seven years, which was eventually reduced to three years.
