IGNOU OPENMAT Admit Card – Dates, How to Download, Exam-Day Guidelines

NTA or National Testing Agency has released the IGNOU OPENMAT admit card on 3rd September 2020. IGNOU OPENMAT has been successfully conducted on 15th September 2020 for the candidates seeking admission to Indira Gandhi National Open University’s MBA/PGDM programmes. IGNOU OPENMAT 2020 admit cards will be available online and candidates can download their respective admit cards from the official website of NTA, the link of which they will find in the article below. 

Candidates require to enter their Registration ID and Password to download their admit cards. It is compulsory to carry the admit card on the day of the exam to gain entry inside the exam hall. Along with the admit card, candidates must carry a black/blue ballpoint pen, valid photo ID, passport size photograph, sanitiser, gloves and mask to the examination hall. 

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) conducts the IGNOU OPENMAT entrance test twice every year in more than 100 cities across the country. Initially, IGNOU OPENMAT 2020 was planned to be conducted on 29th April 2020, and the expected date for admit card release was 9th April. However, both the dates have been postponed due to COVID-19. 

Lately, the revised exam date of IGNOU OPENMAT XLVII 2020 has been declared as 15th September 2020. IGNOU OPENMAT admit card 2020 has been released on September 3, 2020. Candidates appearing in IGNOU OPENMAT must ensure that they carry their respective admit cards to the exam centers.

IGNOU OPENMAT Admit Card – Step-by-Step Downloading Process

Before appearing for the IGNOU OPENMAT entrance exam, candidates must download the admit cards. Candidates can download their IGNOU OPENMAT admit card online by following the steps mentioned below.

Step 1- Visit the official IGNOU OPENMAT website. Once the admit cards are released, the relevant link will appear in the login window.

Step 2 – Enter the IGNOU OPENMAT registration ID and password to login into the candidate dashboard.

Step 3 – Once the details in the admit card are displayed on the screen, verify the information carefully

Step 4 – Download the admit card and take out at least 4 printouts of it for further use

Step 5 – Affix your photograph as uploaded for IGNOU OPENMAT Application Form

While appearing for the IGNOU OPENMAT entrance test, candidates must remember a few points:

  1. Report to the examination hall at least an hour before the examination starts.
  2. Carry the OPENMAT admit card without fail.
  3. Duplicate IGNOU OPENMAT admit cards would not be issued at the examination centres if the original admit card is torn or lost by a candidate.
  4. Tampering of the admit card automatically disqualifies the candidate from sitting for the exam. 
  5. The admit card has to be presented to the invigilator on the day of the entrance exam.
  6. Read the instructions in the admit card before starting the online examination or computer-based test.
  7. Preserve the admit card until the final admission.

Which photo ID proofs are allowed on the exam day?  

Along with the admit card, candidates need to carry any one of the below-mentioned Photo ID Cards to the IGNOU OPENMAT exam hall. Please note that the photo ID proof must be valid and original (xerox copies are not allowed).
