Every year, IBPS or Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection conducts various banking exams to recruit talented job seekers for the post of Specialist Officer in the government banking sector. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) Specialist Officers (SO) are recruited for individual special posts in various departments like Sales Officer, HR/Personnel or Management Officer, Field Officer, Marketing Officer, Law Officer, IT Officer, etc. in participating banks across India.
As per the recent official announcement, the IBPS SO exam dates 2020-21 for the preliminary examination are 26th and 27th December 2020. The exam notification for the same was released on 1st November 2020 (Monday).
This recruitment process happens annually. The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is the conducting body for all IBPS exams including SO, PO and Clerk. IBPS reserves the right to declare the IBPS SO exam dates at least one to two months in advance. Similar to other years, this year too, the exam conducting authority will hold the IBPS SO exam in a Computer-based Test (CBT) mode.

As per the updated notification, the IBPS SO preliminary exam will be conducted on 26th and 27th December 2020. Candidates qualifying in the preliminary round will move ahead in the final exam, which will be held on 24th January 2021.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has commenced the online application process for the selection of personnel in the Specialist Officers cadre posts on Monday, 2nd November 2020. Candidates can start registering themselves for the upcoming IBPS SO exam till 23rd November 2020.
Candidates can submit their application forms via online mode by accessing the official IBPS website. Candidates had to follow four major steps to complete the application form submission process –
Candidates need to pay the registration/application fee for IBPS SO to apply for the examination. Before making a payment, the candidates should carefully read all the eligibility criteria. Candidates must note that the application fee amount will not be refunded under any circumstance.
Before filling up the form, the candidate is advised to make a duplicate copy and fill it up first. Any mistakes or fields left out accidentally may lead to the rejection of the application form.

IBPS SO 2020 Admit Card for prelims exam will be released in December 2020. The exact date of the issuance of admit card is yet to be announced by the IBPS exam authority. Once the authority announces the admit card release date, candidates can start collecting their IBPS SO admit cards by logging into the official IBPS website. They can avail their IBPS SO admit card by using their Registration number/roll number and password/date of birth.
IBPS SO admit card is a crucial document. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall without his/her admit card. Candidates must verify all the information mentioned on the admit card (like exam date, test centre address, time, etc.) and fix the errors (if any) to avoid cancellation of candidature.
