Common Management Aptitude Test or CMAT is a national-level MCQ type test conducted by the National Test Agency (NTA) every year. With the help of this exam, more than 850 institutes give admissions to candidates(as per their scores) in various management courses. In the previous year, more than 67,000 students appeared for CMAT and this year, the number is expected to grow beyond one lakh students!

When a student successfully applies for CMAT, an admit card is issued in his/her name. This admit card is a must-have if the student is appearing for the exam. In this article, we will discuss a few important considerations for students regarding the admit card.Β

CMAT Admit Card – How To Get It?

Admit card is like a mandatory β€˜ticket’ which the applicant has to produce at the venue before the test begins. The card is necessary to verify all the credentials of the applicants and to make sure that the registration process has been completed by the student. NTA released admit cards for the 2022 exam through their official website on 6 April 2022. Students had to download the admit card from this website, provided they have successfully registered and paid for the registration. Only the downloadable copy is available to the students and no hard copy is sent through post or any other means. The students are required to visit the website and download the admit card on an A4 size sheet. Applicants need to login with their application number, password or date of birth. Students need to double check the specific CMAT test session and test venue on the admit card.Β

CMAT Admit Card – Key PointsΒ 

During the last CMAT exam, NTA issued a public notice with the following points:

  • The admit cards of candidates (who have paid the fees) have been uploaded on the website – cmat.nta.nic.in and the candidates are advised to download their admit card of CMAT Examination 2022.
  • Incase of any query or if any applicant is unable to download his/her admit card, he/she may send an email to cmat.nta2022@gmail.com
  • All candidates are informed that no admit card will be sent by post.

CMAT Admit Card – How to Download the Admit Card?

Applicants can download their admit cards from the official NTA website. A step-by-step process is given below. Previous year admit cards were available for download till 28 January 2019.Β 

Follow these steps to download the admit card –

Step 1: Visit NTA’s official website.

Step 2: Click on the β€˜Download Admit Card’ link. This link will take you to the CMAT Admit card 2022 download page.

Step 3: Provide the Application Number, Password, and Security Pin.

Step 4: The Admit Card will be shown on the screen. Check the card and make sure all the information provided like exact name, date of birth and other details, are correct.

Step 5: Down the admit card and get the printouts.

Note: Two things are necessary for downloading the CMAT admit card, i.e:

  • Students should log in with CMAT id and password
  • Students should not forget the security pin.

CMAT Admit Card – What information is provided on the CMAT Admit Card?

The CMAT admit card contains the following information

  • Candidates photograph
  • Name of the candidate
  • Signature of the candidate
  • Candidates’s CMAT roll numberΒ 
  • Test date timeΒ 
  • Reporting time at the venueΒ 
  • Venue name and address
  • Brief instructions for the candidate.

Note: Apart from the download option from the website, NTA will also send the candidate admit cards to the applicants email ids. Hence, it is important for the candidates to provide a valid email address. No hard copy will be sent to the candidates. It’s best to check all the details provided in the admit card and rectify beforehand in case of any error.

CMAT Admit Card – What do I do if I don’t get an Admit Card?

Incase of failure in downloading the admit card or any other reason by which the candidate can not get the admit card, the applicants should contact the National Testing Agency (NTA) office over phone or on their email id (and not the AICTE office). CMAT Customer Care Support is available by phone and email from 8.00 am – 10.00 pm every day.Β  NTA suggests not to send the same email multiple times, as it will delay the response process.

Q. Is it necessary to carry a hard copy of the CMAT admit card?

It is absolutely mandatory to carry a hard copy of the CMAT admit card. Soft copies will not be allowed. Students should print their admit cards on A4 size sheets.

Q. Can I get my CMAT admit card printed at the test venue?

No. Students should get their CMAT admit card printed beforehand. No one will be allowed to get the print out at the time of exam.

Q. What are the important things on the CMAT admit card to be checked for errors?

Check the following things in your CMAT admit card:

  • Your photo
  • Your name & signature
  • Your CMAT 2022 roll number
  • Test date, time, reporting time at the venue, venue name and address
  • Brief instructions

Q. What if there is an error in my CMAT admit card or if I fail to download it?

If there is any problem related to the CMAT admit card, candidates should contact the NTA immediately. CMAT Customer Care Support is available via phone and email from 8.00 am – 10.00 pm every day.Β
