As per the IBPS RRB notification 2022, the exam was conducted to fill up 8,285 Officers and Office Assistants posts. IBPS RRB has also released the Admit Cards for Clerk and Officer posts. The admit card portal for IBPS RRB Clerk started from 16th July, 2022. The IBPS RRB Officer Scale 1 admit card portal opened on 22nd July, 2022.

 IBPS RRB Notification – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the IBPS RRB notification before applying for the recruitment exam. There are 3 sections related to the eligibility criteria and are highlighted below:

NATIONALITY

As per IBPS RRB eligibility criteria, a candidate should either be an Indian citizen or citizen of the countries highlighted below. 

The applying candidate must be either a:

  1. Citizen of India 
  2. OR Subject of Bhutan 
  3. OR Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 intending to settle in India permanently 
  4. OR Subject of Nepal
  5. OR Person of Indian origin who has migrated from:
  • Sri Lanka
  • East African Countries (Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania ((formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), and Zaire (to settle permanently in India))
  • Burma
  • Pakistan
  • Vietnam 

Note: An eligibility certificate must be issued by the Government favoring the candidates belonging to the category number 2,3,4 and 5. The candidates have to produce a certificate of eligibility duly approved and signed from the Government of India during the IBPS RRB Interview.

AGE LIMIT

Before applying for the different IBPS RRB posts, candidates should fulfill the important age limit eligibility norms as highlighted in the IBPS RRB notification. IBPS has set an upper and lower age limit for candidates who wish to appear for the IBPS RRB exam 2022.

Candidates should remember that the age limits of all the posts are different and they should check them carefully before applying for their preferred choices. 

Office Assistant (Multipurpose) Age should be between 18 to 28 years (Not born before 2nd June 1994 and later than 31st May 2004.
Officer Scale – I (Assistant Manager) Age should be between 18 to 30 years (Not born before 3rd June 1992 and later than 31st May 2004.
Officer Scale-II (Manager) Age should be between 21 to 32 years (Not born before 3rd June 1990 and later than 31st May 2001.
Officer Scale – III (Senior Manager) Age should be between 21 to 40 years (Not born before 3rd June 1982 and later than 30st May 2001.

Salary

Candidates selected in the IBPS RRB Mains exam will undergo proper training as per the post. After completing the training, they will be posted to different allotted banks. The salary of the selected candidates as mentioned in the IBPS RRB notification (later appointed officers and office assistants) are based on different scales (Grades) and will vary as per the post.

IBPS RRB Notification –  Application Fee Structure

Candidates need to pay the registration/application fee for IBPS RRB to apply for the examination. Before a payment is made, the candidates should carefully read all the eligibility criteria. Candidates must note that the application fee amount will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Before filling up the form, the candidate must make a duplicate copy and fill it up first. This helps in avoiding any mistakes or accidentally leaving out fields, leading to the rejection of the application form.

This year, the IBPS RRB examination fee had been increased by 57% for SC/ST/PwD candidates while 70% for General and OBC candidates (mentioned in IBPS RRB notification). The application fee structure for IBPS RRB as per candidate categories is as follows:
