Earlier, the students had appealed for a one-time relaxation in the age limit due to COVID-19. However, the Centre is not prepared to provide an upper age limit relaxation (from 32 to 33 years) to such candidates.
In the meanwhile, the Supreme Court has reserved the verdict on the plea filed by the candidates seeking one more chance in UPSC’s Civil Services exam for those who could not appear in their last attempt in 2020 due to the pandemic.
