New Delhi, 9 June 2022 – The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB) has opened the UP TGT PGT recruitment 2022 portal to hire for 4163 Trained Graduate (TGT) and Lecturer (PGT) positions across the state.ย
Candidates interested in applying can register by visiting upsessb.org from June 9 onwards. The last date to apply for UP TGT PGT hiring is July 3, however, we advise candidates to apply as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute hassles.ย

UP TGT PGT Recruitment 2022 – Eligibility Criteria
- For UP TGT Balak and Balika Varg, a candidate needs to be a graduate in a relevant discipline and also have a B.Ed, M.Ed., or Ph.D degree.
- For UP PGT Balak and Balika Varg, a candidate needs to be a postgraduate degree holder in a relevant discipline and also have a B.Ed, M.Ed., or Ph.D degree.
- Only those candidates can apply for the UP TGT PGT hiring who are aged at least 21 years on or before 1 July 2022.ย
- There is an age relaxation of 3 years for OBC category candidates.ย
- There is an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates.ย
- Other categories like EWS, ESM, and PwD also get age relaxation as per government rules.ย

UP TGT PGT Recruitment 2022 – Selection Criteria
Candidates will be selected only after they clear the requisite processes of the UP TGT PGT recruitment 2022 drive, which is described below.ย
UP TGT Recruitment 2022 – Selection Criteria
- TGT candidates need to clear a written test, get their documents verified, and clear a final medical test to get selected.ย
- The written test for UP TGT posts contains 125 multiple choice questions with 4 marks given for each correct answer.
- The test will be worth 500 marks and will have 100% weightage in selection for final document verification and medical rounds.
- There will be no interview for TGT posts selection.ย
UP PGT Recruitment 2022 – Selection Criteria
- PGT candidates need to clear a written test, crack an interview, get their documents verified, and clear a final medical test to get selected.ย
- The written test for UP PGT posts contains 125 multiple choice questions with 3.4 marks given for each correct answer.
- The test will be worth 425 marks.ย
- The interview round will be worth 50 marks and there will be extra activities worth 25 marks.ย
- The weightage will be divided as per the marks division stated in the preceding sentences.
