New Delhi, 6 May 2021 – Considering the present COVID situation in the country, it is being speculated that UP Board examinations are expected to be cancelled. The speculations of cancellation grew stronger ever since the Education Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Dinesh Sharma was tested COVID positive. It is also found that 17 officers out of 19 who handle the operations of board examination in the state are coronavirus positive and will not be able to join work soon.

The Uttar Pradesh government has extended the lockdown due to the precarious second wave of COVID-19. Hence, it will be risky to conduct exams for such a large number of students amid the rapid increase of infected cases. While the UPMSP (Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad) has already decided to postpone the new UP Board exam 2021 date for Class 12 and 10 till the situation normalizes, a complete cancellation might also be on the cards.
UP Board Exams 2021 – CM Yogi Adityanath To Take the Final Call
A total number of 29,94,312 students have registered for the UP Board Class 12 and 10 examinations and are now waiting for the final decision from the board. In the meanwhile, UP Education Minister Dinesh Sharma has stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will take the final decision regarding the UP Board exam 2021.

UP Board exams 2021 have been extended twice till now. Initially, they were scheduled to begin on May 8, 2021, but were postponed due to the panchayat elections. The second time, they were extended till 20 May due to the uprising of COVID-19 cases in the state.
