New Delhi, 26 April 2022: On April 23, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) began grading the answer sheets for the UP board exam 2022. With the assessment process in full swing, the UP board has now made a huge announcement that is likely to benefit lakhs of students who took High School (Class 12) and Intermediate (Class 12) exams and are now awaiting UP board results 2022. According to the announcement, the board has instructed all examiners to provide full marks to students for all out-of-syllabus questions in the exam.
The results will be provided by UPMSP in the form of a scorecard. The scorecard will include subject-specific grades, overall score, passing status, and student information. As a result, students may check their grades in all disciplines and compute their percentages using the scorecard. Students who are dissatisfied with their results have the option of requesting reassessment or verification.
Note:
- In total, 12 questions from the syllabus/topics – that were already removed – were asked in the UP board intermediate exams. Similarly, numerous questions in the seven major topics of the UP board Class 10 exams 2022 were from the syllabus that was not included this year.
- Full marks for all out of syllabus questions will now be given. Extra marks will be given for good handwriting
- The results for the board exams are yet to be announced.
Why is the Announcement Been Made?
Considering the pandemic and the online format in which lessons were held for the majority of the 2021-22 academic year, UP board decided to simplify the curriculum in order to decrease the academic burden on students.
Keeping with this, the board announced a 30% cut in the syllabus for all subjects for Class 10 and Class 12 exams. Despite this notification, the board included questions from topics or chapters that were not included in this year’s curriculum in a few question paper sets. This is why the students will now receive full marks for such questions, even if they have not attempted them.
