UGC NET (University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test ) is a national-level exam, which is conducted twice every year to recruit candidates for the positions of:
- Only Assistant Professor, OR
- Both Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities and colleges
However, this time, the UGC NET exam for the June 2022 cycle was postponed because of the postponement of the December 2021 cycle (due to the increase of the COVID-19 cases). In order to not adversely affect any of the students, NTA decided to combine both the December 2021 cycle and June 2022 cycle.
As of now, the UGC Chairman had announced that the next UGC-NET will be tentatively conducted either in the 1st or 2nd week of June 2022. The detailed date sheet has not been announced yet, but will soon be updated on the official NTA website — nta.ac.in.
