RRC CR Recruitment 2023 – Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected on the basis of a merit list.
- The merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in matriculation (with a minimum aggregate of 50%) and ITI marks in the relevant trade for the apprenticeship.
- The selection will be based on calculation of simple average of matriculation and ITI marks.
- For calculation of percentage in matriculation, marks of all subjects will be considered without any specification like ‘best of five’.
- For calculation of percentage of ITI marks, the average marks mentioned in the consolidated statement of marks for all semesters of the applied trade or the marks mentioned in the Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT will be considered.
- For candidates from Boards with grading systems such as Board of Secondary Education Andhra Pradesh, Board of Public Examination, Kerala etc. the midpoint of the range of grades obtained will be taken for each subject. After obtaining midpoints for all subjects, an average will be calculated considering each subject with a total of 100 marks.
- If two candidates share the same marks, the older candidate will be given preference. If their dates of birth are also identical, the candidates who have passed the matriculation exam earlier will be considered first.
- A final merit list will be prepared on the basis of clusters/units, trade, and community in descending order of percentage marks of the candidates as explained earlier.
- Candidates in the final merit list will undergo verification of their original documents as uploaded. Additionally, they must provide a medical certificate as per the attached annexure.
