Odisha OSSSC Recruitment 2023 – JA and PEO Posts – Eligibility
- Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak Odia, and:
- Must have passed Class 8 exam with Odia as a language subject;
Or - Must have passed a Class 10 or equivalent examination in non-language subjects using Odia as the medium of instruction;
Or - Must have passed the final examination of Class 7 or higher with Odia as a language subject from a school or educational institution recognised by the government of Odisha or the central government;
Or - Must have passed an Odia Middle English School standard test administered by the Department of School and Mass Education.
- Must have passed Class 8 exam with Odia as a language subject;
Educational Requirement
- Candidates for the position of Junior Assistant must have a +3 in Arts, Science, or Commerce, or an equivalent qualification, as well as computer skills.
- For the position of Panchayat Executive Officer, candidates need to have passed Class 12 in any subject or have a qualification that is equivalent.
Age Limit
- Candidates for the positions of Junior Assistant and Panchayat Executive Officer must be between the ages of 21 and 38 as of 1 January 2023.
Age Relaxation
- Age relaxation of five years will be granted to candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC), and women categories.
- Candidates from the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category will have an age relaxation of 10 years.
- The total amount of time that ex-serviceman candidates have served in the armed forces allows for a relaxation of the upper age limit.
Examination Fee
- No examination fee is payable for applying for Junior Assistant and Panchayat Executive Officer posts.
Odisha OSSSC Recruitment 2023 – JA and PEO Posts – Selection Process
- Applicants will be shortlisted based on a written combined recruitment examination followed by a practical test.
- The written exam will consist of 180 questions worth one mark each. The test will last three hours.
- The practical test will be a basic computer skill test worth 50 marks and lasting one hour.
