NTA Alerts JEE (Main) Aspirants – Asks Candidates to Complaint Against Fake Websites

JEE Main exam conducting authority, NTA (National Testing Agency), has asked the JEE (Main) aspirants to be aware of the fake websites appearing in the name of JEE Main officials website. In a notification, the exam authority alerted the aspiring students against various fake websites which have invited online applications and fee payment for JEE (Main) 2021. 

As per the official notice, “It is revealed from few complaints received at NTA Helpdesk/Call Centre that some unscrupulous elements have created a fake website with URL: jeeguide.co.in in the name of JEE (Main) 2021, through which online applications and fee payments are being solicited for JEE (Main) 2021 from interested candidates.” The notice also highlighted the email address (info@jeeguide.co.in) and the mobile number (9311245307) that has been provided in the said URL for receiving communications regarding the same.

The officials added that there could be many more such websites through which unscrupulous elements might be trying to deceive the aspiring candidates for JEE (Main) 2021. With this alert, the NTA clarified that neither NTA nor any of its employees are associated with such fake websites and, on its part, it will lodge a complaint regarding the same with the Cyber Crime Cell of Delhi Police. 

It further advised the students and their parents/guardians to register a formal complaint against such fake websites or any unscrupulous agents, as and when they come to know about them at their local police station or cyber-crime cell. The same should be intimated to NTA via email at grievance@nta.ac.in

The NTA is the entrance exam conducting authority for Joint Entrance Examination JEE (Main) examination along with NEET and many other national level tests from 2019. For the JEE (Main) 2021 February session, the NTA opened its application window till January 16, 2021. The JEE Main examination will be held from February 23, 2021 to February 26, 2021 across various test centres in India.
