National Institute of Technology (NIT) will release the NIMCET cutoff list for all the 11 participating institutes (for different categories) along with the seat allotment list after the result is declared. The participating institutes of NIMCET 2021 include Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Surathkal, Raipur, Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Durgapur, Tiruchirappalli & Warangal. The candidates who aspire to pursue Master of Computer Applications from NITs (all across the country) requires to appear in this entrance examination. The NIMCET (NIT MCA Common Entrance Test) is organized by the NITs on a rotation basis.
The National Institute of Technology which conducts the common entrance examination is also responsible for publishing the cut-off list for all the participating NITs. The cutoff of NIT MCA Entrance Test is the last rank at which the admission closes for the participating NITs.
As the NIMCET 2021 exam is yet to begin (23rd May 2021), the cut off list will be available on the official NIMCET website in PDF format. Upon its release, candidates can download the cut off list and check their scores.
Important Note: NIT releases the cutoff as the seat allotment list. This means that the candidates can check the seat allotment list to know the last rank after which the admission is closed. The list of shortlisted candidates for admission i.e. the seat allotment list will be released on the official websites of the participating NITs.

NIMCET Cutoff – Key Highlights
- The last rank at which the admission for MCA programme will close will be termed as the NIMCET cutoff 2021.
- National Institute of Technology does not release the cutoff score for NIMCET separately. However, candidates can analyse the cutoff as the last rank in the seat allotment list.
- Different categories will have a different last rank.
- Multiple factors such as performance of the test-takers, number of seats, the difficulty level of the exam, etc are taken into account for deciding the NIMCET cutoff.
- All the participating NITs will release the seat allotment lists on their respective official website.
- Only those candidates who qualify the NIMCET 2021 will be eligible to be considered for the allotment of seats.

✔️ When will the NIT release the NIMCET cutoff 2021?
Candidates will be able to check the last rank for admission through NIMCET 2021 along with the seat allotment list after NIMCET result declaration. There will be no separate release of the cutoff.
✔️ What are the minimum marks required in Mathematics to be eligible for NIMCET counselling?
Candidates who secure zero or negative marks in the Mathematics section do not qualify the entrance test. Hence, such candidates will not be eligible for the NIMCET counselling process.
