National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam is one of the most respectable exams in India for aspirants seeking a fashion designing or fashion technology degree. NIFT 2021 Application – Essential Documents Required
It is crucial for the aspiring candidates to read the eligibility criteria for the NIFT exam carefully. All the relevant details regarding the pre-requisite documents and information are given below.
All the aspiring NIFT candidates –
- Should possess a valid email ID.
- Must fill the educational details (10 + 2 or equivalent qualifying exam)
- Must fill authentic personal details
- Should submit category certificate ( Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes) (If applicable)
- Must upload a scanned image of their signature ( jpg/jpeg format, size- 50 kb)

- Must send a demand draft in favour of NIFT Head office, payable at New Delhi (applicable only for offline payment).

NIFT 2021 Application – Procedure to Complete the Application Form
Aspiring candidates may follow the sequence given below for filling the application form of the NIFT entrance exam.
Registration – Aspiring candidates must create a login account, which will help in knowing all the relevant information till the final date of NIFT entrance exam. Visit the official website and click on the tab mentioning ‘Fresh candidates to create login’.
After this, candidates must fill in all the details like:
- Name of the candidate
- Date of birth
- Date of birth
- Tick whether you are specially-abled or not
- Valid email id/confirmation of the valid email id
- Selection of the programme applied for
- Enter the verification mode
Candidates would be asked to verify all the mentioned details and go through the instructions. After verifying the details, candidates may click on the ‘Yes’ tab and finally click on the ‘submit’ button. Instantly, the user would be redirected to a new page and he/she must click on the ‘Proceed to login’ tab for further process.
Filling of the Application Form – Aspiring candidates may proceed with the application form after filling all the above mentioned requirements in the registration form. Candidates will be able to observe that all the personal details that they mentioned in the registration form are already ingested in the application form. Thus, aspirants have to fill the remaining slots like:

Candidates must carefully go through all the mentioned information and must show their consent by tapping on the box ‘I agree’, after which they can finally tap on the ‘Save’ button to proceed with the next step.
Next, the user is directed to a new page and must click on the ‘Home’ button.
Uploading the photograph along with the signature – Candidates must next upload the scanned copies of their signature and photograph in prescribed format. The file should be in jpeg/jpg format and must be 50 kb in size. After successfully uploading the scanned copies, candidates must proceed by clicking on the ‘next’ tab.
Fee payment – Candidates may finally pay the fees for the exam according to their preferred mode of payment. Online users may pay the exam fee through credit or debit card facilities whereas offline users may pay the exam fee through Demand Draft issued to NIFT Head Office. Candidates must pay the additional transaction charges. It is crucial to know for the offline users that they must pen down the DD number and date at the time of the payment. Also, they must select the bank options from the drop down menu.
Candidates who want to apply for the NIFT entrance exam after the official deadline (late fee) will have to pay INR 5000. The official governing body of the exam will announce the deadline for late fee as well. After that, no new applicants will be entertained.
Take the printout of the Application form – After finally completing the form application and registration, candidates must take printouts of the application form. Aspirants paying the fee through demand draft must submit the application form attached with the same.
