New Delhi, 27 September 2021 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) official answer key for all question paper codes (M, N, O, P) from 1 to 6 series soon. Even though many coaching institutions have released their versions of the NEET 2021 answer key, the official version will be released on the official NTA NEET website – www.neet.nta.nic.in

The last update from NTA highlighted that the official answer key of the NEET 2021 exam would have been published on Sunday. However, due to some unknown reason, the schedule for the NEET answer key was hampered. Nevertheless, NTA has assured that the provisional and final answer key would be out soon.

Candidates who have appeared for the NEET UG 2021 exams can refer to the NEET 2021 answer key to ascertain their tentative scores. The provisional answer key will allow students to raise objections. After resolving the objections, the final version of the NEET answer key will be released, which will be used for the calculation of marks.

Besides the answer key, the NTA will also release the question papers and the scanned copies of the OMR sheets filled by candidates so that they can raise objections if any.

How to Calculate Estimated Scores using NEET Answer Key?

After NTA releases the NEET final answer key, candidates can tally their answers with the ones given in the OMR (Optical Mark Reader) sheet PDF. After tallying, they need to count the correct and incorrect responses and allot the appropriate marks for each response.

The NEET marking scheme 2021 is as follows:

Particulars Marks Allotted
Every Correct Answer +4 marks
Every Incorrect Answer -1 mark
Unanswered Question 0 mark
For questions with more than one response 0 mark

To get a raw NEET 2021 score, candidates can use this formula:
