NEET cutoff for Assam MBBS will be released by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam after the conduct of NEET 2020. The NEET 2020 will be held on 13th September 2020 and thus, it is expected that the NEET cutoff for Assam might be announced by the later half of October 2020.
A few important features of the NEET Assam 2020 cut off are:
- The NEET Assam 2020 cutoff will feature the last rank and the scores secured by the candidates in the entrance exam.
- This cutoff will be considered for as many as 900 seats in medical colleges of Assam. At the same time, there will be 40 seats available in the elite dental colleges of the northeastern state.
- The exam conducting body will release the NEET Assam 2020 cutoff separately for 15% All India Quota seats and 85% State Quota seats.
- NEET Cutoff for Assam 2020 would contain the name of the applicant, marks obtained, state merit rank and other crucial details.
- Candidates who will qualify the NEET 2020 and obtain an Assam MBBS merit rank will be considered eligible to appear for the counselling.
- NEET counselling 2020 will be done in 2 rounds.

There are 4 factors which will determine the NEET cutoff for Assam 2020. These are:
- Number of candidates appearing for the NEET 2020
- Number of seats available in various medical and dental colleges in Assam
- Difficulty level of the exam. (If the exam is tough, then the cutoff will be proportionally lower)
- Marks obtained in NEET 2020.
Types of NEET Assam Cutoff MBBS
Eligible candidates will get admissions in medical and dental colleges of Assam through the following quotas-
- All India Quota Seats (15%)
- State Quota Seats (85%)
Admissions through All India Quota (AIQ) –
- Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) is the official body which will publish the NEET cutoff for Assam MBBS in 2020.
- The designated body will take charge of publishing the cut off on behalf of MCC (Medical Counselling Committee).
- Eligible candidates, chosen under AIQ NEET 2020 Assam seats, will get admissions in various dental and medical colleges in Assam, according to the merit obtained in the NEET 2020 and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
- The cutoff list will be released on the basis of the last candidate’s rank who willsecure admission after the second round of counselling.
Admissions through State Quota seats-
- Directorate of Medical Education, Assam will release the NEET Assam cutoff 2020 in online mode.
- The cutoff will be specified for candidates belonging to various categories such as General, SC, ST, OBC and PwD.
- The last ranked candidate who will get admission in the respective college will be considered under the NEET cutoff for Assam MBBS for the concerned category.
