New Delhi, 16 September 2021 – The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has started the online registration process for JEE Advanced 2021 from Wednesday evening, 15th September 2021. Around 2.5 lakh candidates qualified JEE Main 2021 and are now eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced exam 2021.
The interested candidates can submit their JEE-A applications by 20th September 2021 till 11.59 PM. Aspirants must note that the last date to pay the JEE Advanced registration fee is 21st September 2021.
Note: Online registration for JEE Advanced 2021 opened for foreign nationals on 6th September. The foreign national candidates including OCI/PIO cardholders, who have studied or are studying at 10+2 level or equivalent in India can apply.

As per the latest report shared by NTA, JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be conducted on 3rd October 2021. Candidates would be able to download their respective JEE Advanced admit cards from 25th September 2021 onwards (tentative). The final result and answer key for JEE Advanced shall tentatively release on 15th October 2021.
NTA Releases Lowest JEE Main Cut-off Score in 3 years
The JEE Main qualifying candidates are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced. Much to the benefit of the candidates, this year, the qualifying cut-off marks to become eligible for JEE Advanced exam has registered a 3-year low across all categories. All the students who have achieved above 87.89 percentile in JEE Main are deemed eligible to sit for the JEE Advanced exam. Candidates can check the cut offs issued by NTA in the table below:

- This year’s Common Rank List (CRL) cut-off score of 87.89 is more than two points below the previous year’s cut-off of 90.37.
- 44 students have achieved a 100 percentile score, among which 7 were from Delhi and Telangana respectively.
- Using the tie-breaker rules, 18 students shared the top rank this year, out of which 4 students were just from Andhra Pradesh.
How To Fill JEE Advanced Registration Form 2021?
To fill and submit the JEE Advanced registration form, candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below:
1. Visit the official portal of JEE Advanced – https://jeeadv.nic.in/
2. Choose the year of appearing in JEE Main exam and enter the application number, password and security pin
3. Choose the exam centre city and mention the mobile number and email ID again
4. Upload the scanned documents in the prescribed format
5. Pay the application fee, as applicable to the candidate’s category, and finally submit the application form

The JEE Advanced application fee varies for different categories of candidates. Candidates can make the payment in either online or offline mode. The application fees of various categories are:

More About JEE Advanced 2021
JEE Advanced 2021 is going to have two compulsory papers, i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is going to be held from 9 am to 12 pm and Paper 2 is scheduled from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The percentages of various categories of candidates to be shortlisted are:
- 10% for GEN-EWS
- 15% for SC
- 7% for OBC-NCL
- 7.5% for ST
- Remaining 40.5% is open for all
Note: Within each of these five categories, 5% horizontal reservation is available for PwD candidates.
The total duration of each paper will be 3 hours, which will be conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The maximum limit to appear for JEE Advanced in a year is two times. Upon successfully qualifying the exam, candidates will be called to appear for the counselling round, conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
