NEET UG 2021 – Phase 2 Registration Before Results, Read Details Here

New Delhi, 17 September 2021 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) had recently conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test- Undergraduate (NEET UG 2021) on 12th September 2021. While the NEET UG 2021 answer key is expected to be released shortly, NTA has announced that it will begin the NEET UG phase 2 registration process soon. 

According to the exam authority, before the release of the NEET phase 1 answer key, the scanned images of OMR answer sheets will be released to record the responses of the students. However, no official statement on this has been recorded yet. 

This year, the NEET application process 2021 has been divided into two parts. All the students who sat for the phase 1 exam, now have to apply for the phase 2 exam. This entire process has been created to ensure the candidates’ data is submitted quickly and the exam is conducted in an organised manner. 

The official information bulletin reads, “The first set of information needs to be filled up before the last date of submission of the online application form. The second set of information needs to be filled up by the candidates before the declaration of the result/downloading of the scorecard.”

NEET UG 2021 – Qualifying Criteria

It is mandatory for the students to register for the NEET UG 2021 phase 2 exams to get the final NEET marks. The appeared students must make sure that they fill in all the required information in the second phase of the applications. If the information remains incomplete, the candidature will be cancelled and the results of such candidates will not be declared. 

The set qualifying criteria for NEET aspirants in various categories include:

The NEET UG 2021 percentile will be determined based on the highest marks secured in the All India Common Merit List prepared by the NTA.

NEET UG 2021 – Tie-Breaking Procedure

NEET UG result 2021 will be prepared by the NTA. In case two or more students get equal marks or percentile scores, the merit will be determined through a devised procedure mentioned below:

  • Students obtaining higher marks in Chemistry, followed by,
  • Students obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany and Zoology), followed by,
  • Students with less proportion of a number of attempted, incorrect, and correct answers in all the subjects

More About NEET UG 2021

As the NEET exam was cancelled last year due to the ongoing pandemic, a large number of medical aspirants (last year’s and current years’ together) have applied for the exam. To ease the process, the exam conducting body (NTA) has bifurcated the exam into 2 phases. 

The NEET UG answer key 2021 for phase 1 is expected to be released soon. Students who have appeared for the NEET UG 2021 examination will be able to check the OMR sheet and answer key through the official link which will be provided on the official NTA NEET website. After the provisional answer key is released, NTA will give the students a chance to raise any objections against the same within a given period. After considering the objections, NTA will release the NEET UG 2021 final answer key and the results of the entrance examination.
