Shipwright (Joiner) Carpentry work, box repair, furniture repair work etc.
Painter  Painting works of all kinds, including stencilling, painting signboards, patching up weaponry, etc.
Electric Fitter Electrical work in the workshop, repair of broken machines, and onboard electrical work. 
Ammunition Mechanic Repair and maintenance of ammunition/explosives.

  • Candidates must pay a fee of INR 205 online by net banking, Visa, Mastercard, RuPay credit/debit cards, or UPI (with the exception of SC/ST/ex-servicemen and women candidates who are exempt from payment of the fee).

Screening of Applications

 

The Indian Navy would not thoroughly review online applications to allow applicants to appear for the exam. A later stage will involve a thorough review of the documents.
Shortlisting of Applications
  • Normally, all qualified candidates are permitted to participate in the selection process. 
  • A person or applicant does not necessarily have the right to be invited for the written examination by simply meeting the minimum qualifying requirements.
  • Only those applicants who make the shortlist will be contacted for the written test if the number of applications submitted is excessive compared to the number of openings.
  • This decision rests with the appointing authority.
Written Examination
  • All qualified candidates must appear for the written exam, which consists of objective-type questions. The exam would be multilingual (in Hindi and English) (except for General English). 
  • The instructions that must be sent with the e-admit card will specify the test format. 
Document Verification At the time of document verification, all original documents referring to a person’s age, education, identification, address, category, caste validity certificate, apprentice school certificate, etc., must be produced.
