IISER Admission Schedule – IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Research) conducts an entrance test for candidates applying through the SCB channel, which is known as the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT). Earlier IISER had set the IAT exam date as May 31, 2020. However, due to the nationwide lockdown, the IISER Aptitude Test date has seen a shift along with the other major IISER admission events. The new exam date for IISER Aptitude Test is now August 12, 2020. As per the IISER Aptitude Test schedule, candidates will be able to download the admit card for the same from July 23.
The IISER application form submission window for the SCB channel is live until July 8. Thus, aspirants must apply for the same before the last date.
The IISER Aptitude Test admission at different campuses of IISER is possible through three channels, namely:
- Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)
- Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced)
- State Central Board (SCB)
The conducting body defines separate schedules for IISER admission through all the channels. Similar to the SCB channel, all the events of admission through KVPY and JEE channel will also have a specific deadline. IISER APTITUDE TEST SCHEDULE – APPLICATION FORM SUBMISSION
Candidates aspiring for admission at IISER through SCB channel were able to start filling the IAT application form from March 23, 2020. The last date to fill the application form for IISER admission through SCB channel is July 8, 2020 (earlier it was June 10).
Candidates also need to submit their class 12th marks and category certificates at the application portal from July 15 until August 15, 2020 after submitting their IISER Aptitude Test application form.
IISER APTITUDE TEST SCHEDULE – ADMIT CARD RELEASE
The priorly set date for admit card release was May 18, 2020. After the postponement of the schedule due to COVID-19, the conducting authority has notified July 23 as the release date of the admit card for the IISER Aptitude Test. Candidates will be able to download the admit card until the exam day i.e. August 12.

Earlier, the IISER Aptitude Test was slated to be held on May 31, 2020. Due to COVID-19 outbreak, candidates and the concerned authority had to delay the complete schedule. The new exam date for IISER Aptitude Test 2020 is August 12, 2020.
IISER APTITUDE TEST SCHEDULE – ANSWER KEY RELEASE
Earlier when the IAT was to be held on May 31, the preliminary answer key was set to release the very next day. Following the same trend, the answer key will be released on August 13, a day after IISER conducts IAT 2020. Candidates can raise and submit their objections against the answer key for two upcoming days i.e. August 14 to August 16. Along with the answer key, candidates will be able to find the response sheet.
The final answer key for the IISER Aptitude Test will be released on August 17, 2020.
IISER APTITUDE TEST SCHEDULE – RESULT CUM COUNSELLING COMMENCEMENT
IISER does not release a conventional result. After conducting the exam, IISER starts shortlisting candidates in multiple rounds on the basis of their performance in IAT. IISER is set to release the first round of seat allotment result on August 19. Every round will have the following set of events:

- Beginning of Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) payment
- Exercising options such as freeze/float
The counselling process will kick-off from August 19 and conclude on September 13, 2020.

IISER ADMISSION DATES – APPLICATION FORM SUBMISSION (KVPY)
Candidates who have a valid KVPY scholarship 2020-21 can take admission on the basis of their performance in the scholarship test. Application form for IISER admission through KVPY channel was rolled out on the official website of IISER from April 24, 2020. The last date for IISER admission through KVPY channel is similar to that of SCB channel, i.e. July 8, 2020.
Candidates have to upload their class 12th marks and the category certificates at the application portal. The upload process is available from July 15 to August 15, 2020
IISER ADMISSION DATES – RESULT CUM COUNSELLING FOR KVPY CHANNEL
This process is similar to that of the SCB channel. However, the IISER will shortlist candidates on the basis of their performance in the KVPY scholarship exam. Counselling for KVPY admission channel is only held in two rounds that consists of following set of events (each round)

- Beginning of Seat Acceptance Fee payment
- Exercising options such as freeze/ float
The counselling process for admission through KVPY channel will be performed from August 17 to September 13, 2020.

The schedule of IISER admission through JEE Advanced is solely based on IIT’s schedule for JEE Advanced. The IISER application form for admission through JEE Advanced will be released from August 1, 2020. Candidates can submit the online application form until September 2, 2020.
