New Delhi, 11 November, 2021: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has reduced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) MDS cut-off 2021 by 23.029 percentile for both reserved and unreserved category candidates. Revised NEET MDS cut-off for general category (UR/EWS) candidates is 26.971 percentile. For reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) candidates, the revised cut-off is 16.971 percentile. For UR-PWD category candidates, revised NEET MDS cut-off is 21.971 percentile.
Note: The Health Ministry has asked the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to release the revised NEET MDS result in accordance with the reduced qualifying percentile immediately. These reduced NEET MDS cut-offs are applicable for the year 2021-22.
A notice was shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), which stated that the ministry has made the decision to lower the qualifying cut-off for NEET-MDS 2021 by 23.029 percentile for each category (General, SC/ST/OBC, and UR-PWD). The details are mentioned below:

About NEET-MDS
NEET-MDS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination. It is a single entrance examination for admission to various MDS courses under Dentists Act, 1948. No other entrance examination at the state or the institution level is valid for entry into MDS courses.
Note: Qualifying NEET-MDS is mandatory for entry into MDS courses under various universities/institutions in the country.
NEET-MDS Scope
NEET-MDS 2021 shall be the single eligibility-cum-entrance examination for admission to MDS courses for the academic session 2021, which includes:
- All India 50% quota seats for MDS courses (all states).
- State quota seats for MDS courses for all States/Union territories of India.
- MDS courses at all Private Dental Colleges, Institutions & Universities all across the country.
- MDS courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions.
- Screening exam for dental surgeons (BDS & MDS) for Short Service Commission in Army Dental Corps.
