September 12, 2022, Chhattisgarh, Free CLAT and NDA Coaching for Chhattisgarh EWS Students: The Chhattisgarh government has announced a free coaching scheme for students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category, along with students from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories. Under this scheme, beneficiaries will be provided with free coaching for various competitive examinations like Chartered Accountant (CA), National Defence Academy (NDA), Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), and various other engineering and medical entrance examinations. Around 400 EWS, SC, ST, and OBC students from Chhattisgarh will be able to avail free coaching at various coaching institutes.
The scheme has been developed with a focus on EWS students. On September 7, 2022 (Wednesday) the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh – Mr. Bhupesh Bhaghel – said, “Now the EWS students of Chhattisgarh will soon avail the facility of free coaching for All India Engineering and Medical entrance examinations, as well as other competitive examinations like CA and CS, CLAT, and NDA.”
Talking about securing the future of EWS students, he further added, “This initiative is being commenced due to consideration of the aspirations and the financial difficulties of the family of the students who want to pursue different kinds of career options.”
The department will be headed by Mr. Bhupesh Bhaghel himself. As per now, there is already a provision of free coaching for the students of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) categories in Chhattisgarh. The Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category has been added recently and is the new beneficiary category under the provision of free coaching.
As per the official reports, the coaching institutions which will undertake the responsibility of training these students for various competitive examinations are based in Raipur, Bhilai, Durg, and Bilaspur.

- On May 12, 2022, the administration of Gautam Budhh Nagar (Noida) announced that they would provide free coaching for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE), Civil Services, and National Defence Academy (NDA) to students from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS). The initiative was taken under the Uttar Pradesh Government’s ‘Mukhyamantri Abhyudaya Yojana’ scheme.
