DU LLB Counselling – Detailed Process
Candidates must be conversant with the counselling process to be performed at the three law centres of Delhi University.
Step 1 – Online Submission of Qualifying Marks & Rank in DU LLB Entrance Test and Choices of Law Centres
- Candidates have to submit the marks they secured in the DU LLB entrance examination at the online counselling registration portal (portal shall be made live on du.ac.in)
- During the DU LLB counselling registration, candidates have to enter details such as:
- Name
- Application number
- Category
- Rank in DU LLB 2020
- DU LLB marks
- Along with the details mentioned above, candidates need to submit their choices of DU Law Centres in order of preference.
Step 2 – Release of Admission List
- Delhi University will prepare the final admission list considering multiple factors including:
- DU LLB cutoff list
- Performance of the candidate
- Reservation policy
- Preference of law centres
- Seats available at the law centres
- Delhi University will administer the document verification of those eligible candidates whose names appear in the admission list (after any particular counselling round)
Step 3 – Document Verification
- Candidates have to carry original documents with printout of each document at document verification venue
- The officials verify the documents and grant a provisional admission/offer letter
- Candidates have to preserve the offer letter until the payment of admission fee
Step 4 – Reporting at the Allotted Institute and Payment of Admission Fee
- Candidates must report at the allotted centre along with the admission letter received after the document verification
- Candidates will get the final admission confirmation if the fee is paid before the deadline.
In case a candidate is unable to get his/her document verified or does not report for the document verification round, his/her seat will be allotted to the next best qualifier as per the cutoff.
DU LLB Counselling – Admission List
Delhi University will release the admission list in multiple rounds. The DU LLB admission list will include the names of all the candidates who are eligible for admission in any of the 3 law centres of DU. Candidates will find the following details in the DU LLB admission list:
- Roll number
- Form number
- Name of the candidate
- Allotted law centre
- Final DU LLB entrance test marks
- Combined rank
- Qualifying marks*
- Category filled by the candidate
*The score of Class 12 (10+2) has to be updated at the official counselling registration portal by the candidates
DU LLB Counselling – List of Documents
Candidates have to carry the following documents at the counselling venue for the document verification process.
- Admission Ticket/Admit Card of DU LLB Entrance Test
- Class 10th certificate of Birth certificate (as a proof of date of birth)
- Class 12th marksheets and certificates
- Mark-sheet of the qualifying degree examination (provisional certificate, if needed)
- Degree Certificate (Provisional Certificate if applicable)
- Character certificate issued by last attended institute (not older than six months as on the date of admission)

- Eight passport size photographs (recent)
