CBSE to Digitalize 45-Year Records of Students

This additional news came as a welcome surprise. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced that the records of all the enrolled CBSE students over the last 45 years will be digitalized.

CBSE to Digitalize 45-Year Records of Students

Pokhriyal posted on Twitter, “This digitalization will help citizens who enrolled after 1975 to get certificates easily. Further, CBSE will train 10 lakh teachers in the coming year to meet the goals of #NEP2020.”

Earlier this month, CBSE announced that Board exams will be conducted in written mode and not online in 2021. However, schools across the country were closed from March to contain the spread of COVID-19. This changed the entire planning, thereby introducing the concept of remote teaching and online classes for the students. To save the precious time of students, several schools have already conducted pre-board exams online to keep the students prepared.

Besides the above details, the Education Minister also discussed the role of the National Education Policy (NEP) and its different provisions during the live interaction. He also shared his views on the NEP 2020’s Academic Bank of Credit, a holistic report card, and how exams including JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and NEET were conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic.
